Modern zombies were formed in 1968 with the release of George Romero's original Night of the Living Dead. The film shows all the typical features of these supernatural dwarfs: a regenerated human body, a suffocating body without a brain, a choking body, carnivorous and living organs. They are slow but angry with hunger and shatter you when they gather in a crowd. The zombie apocalypse in movies and literature often means the end of the day.
Since then we have seen many other variations of the same basic zombie stats. But in fact, the concept of zombies precedes Romero's film. Especially in the concept of zombies in Haitian culture, they are actually people who "Raise" from the dead and are built on pointless machines. Many claim that these events are nothing more than folklore, while others claim that such creatures were successfully created.
There have been many real zombie events with or without Haiti zombies, but such events are not completely related to the return from the dead. Nature has given us zombie ants and zombie spiders, and there have been some famous examples of people partying with friends like crazy for reasons completely unknown. (And yes, some of them are examples of "dead life".)
5. Clairvius Narcisse and the Proof of Zombification :
Clairvius Narcisse died on May 2, 1962 after being admitted to Albert Schweitzer Hospital in Deschapel, Haiti's Artibonite Valley. He suffered from many disorders, but the exact cause of his symptoms is unknown.
Eighteen years later, in 1980, he saw his younger sister Angelina Narcisse on the market. He recalled memories of his "death", including burial alive. He was taken mortally by a beekeeper Ghanaian magician, and after digging he was taken to the farm to work as a zombie worker. He escaped after two years of slavery and wandered around the countryside of Haiti, but returned to the village after the death of his brother, who, in his opinion, traded a book that turned Narcisse into zombie.
Researcher Wade Davis later investigated the Narcisse case and claimed to have unlocked the key to zombieization. That said, according to Patrick D. Hahn of Biology Online, it's using Datura plants that contain hallucinations. Complete scam, "atropine and scopolamine, which cause confusion, psychosis and memory loss." However, it has not been confirmed for certain whether this substance was used on Narcisse.
4. Woman Returns from the Grave in Catatonic State :
This case was observed by researchers in Haiti in 1996 or 1997. after i09:
FI died of a brief fever when she was about 30 years old, and on the same day, she was buried in a family grave near her home, and three years she recognized by a family friend walking near the village. Her mother confirmed her identity through the tag. On her face, like a 7-year-old daughter, siblings, other villagers, her husband, and a local priest. shee looked stupid and couldn't eat herself. Her parents accused her husband of killing her (and jealous of her after an affair) after the district court ordered her to open her stone-filled tomb, her parents could not decide whether to take her home orĀ to Port O. Prince's Mental Hospital..."
It was later discovered that the woman suffered from tension schizophrenia. However, it was not explained how he was able to get out of the grave and return home.
3. Two-Year-Old Sits Up in Coffin, Asks for Water, Dies Again :
Kevin Santos was sentenced to death in a hospital in Belem, Brazil, his hometown. The two-year-old was put in a sealed body bag for three hours while the family prepared for the funeral.
At the memorial service, the family noticed how the boy moves. Santos sat down and asked his mother for a glass of water. However, the ecstatic family was disappointed when the boy fell down again after a while. He was taken to the hospital and declared dead for the second time.
2. The Infamous Miami Cannibal Attack :
This story has already become big news in May 2012, especially given the shocking photos of the events circling on the Internet. Miami resident Rudy Eugene took off his clothes and attacked the homeless Ronald Popo, eating about 80% of his face. When the police arrived at the scene, they were forced to set the armed Eugene on fire. Before finally falling, he received more bullets than his body had to endure.
Initially, it was speculated that Eugene took "bath salt" or even PCP, but the explanation of his zombie-like attack on Poppo remains a mystery, as reports of toxicology only left traces of marijuana on his body.
1. Florida College Student Stabs Strangers, Eats Their Faces :
Florida has already been on the map of cannibals for possible zombie-related attacks in Miami's humiliating incident, but apparently it wasn't enough for the Sun State.
In August 2016, 19-year-old college student Austin Harrowf had lunch with his parents at a restaurant in Junior, Florida, and appears to be disappointed by the slow service there. Then the couple, Michelle Michonne and John Stephens III opened the door and walked to the area where they sat in the garage and enjoyed a quiet evening. Harrowfe pulled a pair of knives and stabbed them without taunting. A neighbor intervened and tried to call the rescue team, but the man also stabbed him.
When the police arrived, they found Harrowf naked and tore off the couple's pieces of meat. He growled, complained and made "animal sounds". The repeated use of stun guns and police dogs did not allow Harrowf to refuse to "meal," and finally three police officers had to drive the man out of the body.
What makes this case particularly bizarre is that Harrowf's strange crime is a model student who seems to do his job very well. He probably went out with his brothers before coming to his parents for lunch. However, his toxicological reports came back clean. Results from other synthetic drug tests are pending, but officials said Harroff had no other typical symptoms associated with substances like bottles or bath salts.
The police were shocked by Harrow's actions. What exactly happened to this person who committed such a terrible crime?
