This list is for all fans of the Da Vinci Code with conspiracy theories of art. If you believe in this theory, all these famous works of art are hidden around hidden meanings or secret scandals. Da Vinci has many things, but the famous Italian polymath is not the only artist who knows how to hide secrets from a common perspective.
Some of the theories on this list are very weird, but if you find yourself here, you'll probably be fine. These ideas are full of speculation. If you are an art critic, stick to academic books and journals. Here you will be wondering about the potential of the world and the many forgotten stories and secret messages buried around us. It is impossible to prove that these famous art conspiracies are true unless you find the artist's notes explaining his intentions. But it's interesting to think about how these famous artists can leave hidden messages for us.
5. The Mona Lisa Is a Self Portrait of Da Vinci :
According to the conspiracy theory, the Mona Lisa is a Da Vinci self-portrait. To add a few Parisians to this theory, the Italian State Heritage Committee asked the French government for permission to excavate Da Vinci's remains and examine the skull to determine if the theory was correct. Studying the skull is still not a definitive test.
It's not clear why Da Vinci described himself as a woman, but it may have something to do with his respect for divine femininity, as seen in The Last Supper. Of course, according to the conspiracy theory.
4. The Mona Lisa Has a Message in Her Eyes :
Mona Lisa is always famous for her eyes that seem to stare at you wherever you stand (a common art in art).
In 2010, members of the Italian National Heritage Committee made another interesting observation about the Eye of the Mix. They found small letters and numbers hidden from students while examining them with a magnifying glass. On the right eye is the letter "LV", which is the artist's initials. The left eye has numbers and letters that are difficult to interpret.
It's not clear how Da Vinci made letters and numbers so small that only a magnifying glass could be seen. The committee did not propose a concrete theory as to why Da Vinci included these details, but noted that putting it in the darkest part of the subject's eye is essentially hiding it from the viewer.
3. Cafe Terrace at Night Emulates The Last Supper :
Vincent Van Gogh Café Terrace at Night shows exactly what the name describes. But is there more to this?
Researcher Jared Baxter believes that this painting by Van Gogh is a tribute to Da Vinci's "Last Supper" (what happened to people and this painting?). If you look closely at Van Gogh's work, you can see a long hairstyle (waiter) standing in the middle of a terrace surrounded by 12 people (two cats). To the left is someone else crawling through the shadows. Maybe Judas?
Additional evidence for Baxter's theory is a note that Van Gogh wrote to his brother Theo when he wrote this piece. Vincent referred to his picture in the letter and said, "It is very necessary for religion, I say this word."
Baxter also points out several crosses in the picture, including the cross on the window just above the man who could have been Jesus. If this theory is correct, it doesn't matter except to show how Van Gogh introduced religious symbols into his art. But it's still cool.
2. The Last Supper Predicts the End of the World :
According to Vatican researcher Sabrina Sforza Galizia, the crescent-shaped spear over Jesus at the Last Supper contains da Vinci's predictions of when the world will end.
It is unclear how Galicia developed his theory, but he claims that the window contains mathematical clues, giving the "final count" in 4006. Obviously, the major flood starts on March 21st. It ends on November 1 of this year. It's hard to believe, but Galicia da Vinci has all the necessary qualifications to make such a statement because he studied the manuscript at the University of California, Los Angeles, before moving to the Vatican Archives. .
According to Galicia's theory, Da Vinci did not believe that the end of the world would come at this point, but rather that it would be a "new beginning of mankind".
1. The Last Supper Features Mary Magdalene :
The most famous work of art conspiracy theory popularized by Dan Brown in the Da Vinci Code suggests that the man sitting on the right side of Jesus at the Da Vinci Last Supper is Mary Magdalene. With this in mind, it is difficult to see a picture and not see the person in question as a woman (unlike John, who is traditionally considered a character).
This theory also states that Jesus and Mary Magdalene form the letter "V", which represents a womb or divine woman. Slavisha Pesci, nicknamed "Italian Amateur Researcher" in the telegraph, is resting as a child, a Templar knight by overlaying the mirror image of the painting, as is common in Renaissance paintings. At the end of the table (far left).
Why is Da Vinci all of this included? The dominant theory (yes, a midsummer night's dream-like theoretical theory) is that the writer tried to reveal the story the Catholic Church was trying to erase. Dusty manuscripts found in the British Museum contain evidence that Jesus married Mary Magdalene and had children. However, the Catholic Church reduced its role in Jesus' life and made him a prostitute. It also removes the divine feminine element of Jesus' message. At The Last Supper, Da Vinci tries to correct it in his version of the event.
