You might be reading this because the title made you curious?
It's not a lie.
I met my doppelganger when I was in fourth grade. Well, if you happen not to know this creature, it is believed that this paranormal spirit copies you and may act like you. It's literally you—minus the fact that is not really you lol.
Let me share this horrible experience I had when I was in Gr. 4. It happened in my classroom. I was a part of drum and lyre band and were out to perform. Basically, I wasn't at school. To tell you, that day was so fun! I was so happy, giggling here and there, so clueless to what awaits me when we came back at school.
Just by arriving at the gate, my classmates welcomed me with their open arms (thought they are going to hug) but to my surprised, they all started hitting the hell out of me! (I don't know if it's a kind of tradition to hit someone when they've been exposed to a paranormal activity?).
Seriously, I asked them why and what the hell was going on. I thought it was a sort of a punishment for being absent to our class (it's a valid excuse that I was out to perform). One of my close friends approach crying and being terrified that I don't understand what she is talking about.
"Ma'am told us hit you to know if it's the real you." So much for the commotion, we get back to our classroom while still hitting me (not too hard tho), my friends were crying and I was puzzled.
The story goes like:
Usually during lunch I'll stay in our classroom, eating the prepared lunch I have. Maybe eating alone or with friends. That day, like I mentioned I was out of school. It happened during lunch break when one of my classmates saw me eating alone inside the classroom. My head's bowed down, staring at the floor—that's how he described me.
The scary part was he tried to call me out, many times. Out of his confusion, he decided not to approach it. Called my name loudly but it didn't move, even an inch. And why he thought it was me? Well I was the only girl who had short hair that time. The girl he saw had the same hair length as me, so the first person he thought of was me.
For the last time he called my name out, it suddenly tilted its head, nearly trying to turn to look at him but other people walked pass by our classroom. He was distracted, looked at the people—and poof! The "me" was gone when he look back again.
That's how the story goes. It's creepy af!!! Now, here is how I encounter her—my doppelganger.
We had our own comfort room in our classroom. It was during a classbreak, no teacher or lessons, were all just playing or minding our own business. I had the urge to pee so I went to our comfort room, knocked at the door, pushed it to see if someone was there and—yes, someone was there. Or that's what I thought? Like I said, I knocked and I heard someone like it was saying there was a person there. To make it more sure, I pushed the door and it seems like someone was pushing back the door too, so conclusion: there is someone in there. I went back to my seat to wait. But that someone was sure taking her time so I asked my mates if they know who was there.
To my surprise, all of us were sitting, playing, minding our own business—inside our classroom. No one is missing—meaning no one is in the comfort room. And that freaks me out! I told them what happened and all of them were terrified like me.
How did I know it's my doppelganger? Well, one of my classmates saw me going in there—right before I actually WENT there. Geez! This story still creeps me out and I don't know why it has to be me.
