Are you one of those people who wanted to play Axie Infinity but has no budget for it? Do you also want to play Cryptoblades but you can't cause you don't have enough money? With Splinterlands, you only need to invest $10.00 and you can activate the play-to-earn function. So, lets jump right in to the world of Splinterlands!

What is Splinterlands?

Splinterlands is a card game based on blockchain technology and was inspired by games like Hearthstone. Players will select each set of cards and will duel and defeat each other. They can also trade, rent, gift or sell their cards to the market in exchange for NFTs called DEC or Dark Energy Crystals. DEC can be swapped with cryptocurrency (currently the liquidity pool only allows swaps for DEC to BUSD and vice versa).

Players build a collection of cards with different attributes called splinter. There are seven types of splinters:

  1. Fire

  2. Water

  3. Earth

  4. Life

  5. Death

  6. Dragon

  7. Neutral

During a duel, players must select one of the 6 splinters (Neutral is an exception since it can be played with other splinters) and choose cards that corresponds to the attribute they selected. After both players finish selecting their set of cards, they will now enter the arena and watch as their cards clash with one another. The player who loses all their cards loses, rendering the other side to be victor. In the instance that two players lose their last cards at the same time, the duel then ends in a draw.
