The Nigerian Government has marked a Memorandum of Understanding with the Government of Niger Republic for oil based commodities importation.
In an assertion in Abuja, Group General Manager/Special Adviser on Media to the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Garba Deen Muhammad, said the MoU was agreed between President Muhammadu Buhari and President Mahamadou Issoufou of Niger.
As per an assertion, Soraz Refinery in Zinder, Niger Republic, has an introduced refining limit of 20,000 barrels for every day contrasted with the country's 5,000bpd homegrown prerequisite.
This leaves an overflow of 15,000 barrels for each day.
Mele Kyari, Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, marked the MoU in the interest of Nigeria while Alio Toune, Director-General of Niger Republic's National Oil Company, Societe Nigerienne De Petrole, endorsed for his nation.
