You must not be a Poet,

You must not be a Poetess,

To write and paint: you must show it,

Write and Paint like Mona Lisa's Happiness:

Shall we paint a boy?

Paint him with simple words?

A dark boy with no Toy?

Smiling, with eyes like those of Birds?

His father - a Merchant and Noble Man,

His mother; painted this Poem,

But before she began;

She painted the face of one her Sons:

The boy's mother was not a Poetess,

But her son asked her to paint a Poem,

With all Kindness and Tenderness,

His mother said; shall we paint a boy in a Poem?

"How can we paint a boy in a Poem mother?"
