Cristiano Ronaldo, as exceptional as he is, has just surprised everyone with his exceptional performances after which he has recorded a total number of 100 goals for his national team, Portugal.

This amazing record has been the talk of the town for some hours now, and it has been flowing on the social media, even till now.

Of course, many people has believed that both Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, as rivals as they are, have not been performing well in their respective national teams; so, many don't really expect much from them when it comes to world competitions.

Lionel Messi, especially, hasn't contributed much to his National team, even though Cristiano Ronaldo is just a bit ahead.

However, just today, Ronaldo has now recorded a total number of 100 goals to his football career for his national team.

Thus, after this has been achieved, he has now broken some records, and became the second best player in the world to have recorded the most number of goals in international competitions.

After the list has been released, Cristiano Ronaldo is second to a player who has scored a total number of 109 for his national team.

This list is however regarded as the "all-time" best records.

This means that many of these players are players who have retired and aren't playing anymore, except Cristiano Ronaldo.

Thus, he has made it to the top in the international competitions, just like he's among the top players in the normal football league competitions.

Thus, below are the top 5 players with the highest number of goals in the international competitions:

Alli Daei (Iran) - 109 goals

Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal) - 100 goals

Ferenc Puskas (Hungary) - 84 goals

Kunishige Kamamoto (Japan) - 80 goals

Godfrey Chitalu (Zambia) - 79 goals
