Unity in diversity

Since we were kids we keep writing an essay about unity in diversity. No doubt we are already so diverse but what about unity? We also are united in many aspects but at times our differences dominate and pave the way to conflicts. I live in India and India deals with great ecological diversity. From cultural dances, religions, tribes, arts, dishes, languages, and topography we are so diverse. In India, you can experience a temperature of -45 degrees Celsius to 48 degrees. There are different states and these states have their own arts and cultures and dishes and various tribes and dialects and languages.
And not only India we can see diversity in almost every country. At times we keep on talking about "UNITY IN DIVERSITY" which definitely signifies that there are some aspects where we lack to show our unity as a diverse country and culture. The religious conflicts, the war, the discrimination etcetera witness our difference at times. Earlier it was inexplicable but with our advances, we understood that these diversities are something not to be biased rather embrace and grow together with our hands joined.
Some elements in society do not want to co-operate and try to propagandise their own ideologies. And people are easily manipulated sometimes and these create conflicts. But, various laws are there that punish those who try to incite people.
Nowadays, there are various types of arts and crafts fare organised at different intervals in different parts of the country and people are amused and get excited to know the culture and art and crafts and other things from various places that are exhibited in the fares. From my personal experience, I must say the parades which are conducted in republic day have different tableaus from different states are the most thrilling to witness how broad our culture is.
In India, we have so many languages and dialects ( more than 1500) that even if you visit the district in your neighbour you will witness different dialects.
To be honest, I wanted to write so many things covering this topic in a broader sense but again and again, in my mind, there is a visual of this girl who gave a speech on this topic and was continuously smiling while delivering the speech and was only looking at me in a room of 20 people seated in a semi-circular fashion. And at the end of her speech when we were asked if we can comment something on her. Nobody said a word but then I said to her that she was confident, gave a good speech but she needs to look audience covering everyone, not just one person.
The teacher said yeah that's a good point.
And I don't know what she felt but she passed a smile and took her seat.
Thank you and sorry for not covering the topic as per expectations.
I can really feel that you're an intelligent student. Hmnn
