The scripture says that we should not wish for the good old days. God wants us to be happy about today. Such a wish the bible calls it lack of wisdom (Foolishness).
I have heard people say they wished they could turn back the hands of time, but come to think of it, the seeds that was sown 5 or 10 years ago are fruits we are harvesting today. Remember a good tree will give birth to a good fruit.
What you did many years ago was programmed to deliver to us what our life is today. We should remember that today's problem didn't just arise by itself, it was given birth to.
Rather than wish for the good old days, be happy about today and make wise decisions that will produce good fruits in future. Be excited about life and be hopeful. God has a reason allowing certain things into our lives.
The challenges of today is not for us to worry and cry but we should see them as opportunity to create the better future we seek.
The days that are passed cannot come back so why wish for them, when you can amend your today.

If there is any expression I cannot stand is the one about the good tree that only brings good fruit and a bad tree, bad fruit. With that statement you declare good parents will never raise a rapest and the child of bad parents will always be a bad person. The opposite of it is true.
