A cosmic alien am I

from a planet unknown...

a world that no one

would fine in a million years

Why do I think I'm so different?

Why do I think I'm so unique?

I eat, I sleep and I will die

just like everyone else

There are no wings on my back

I will neither fly nor spit fire

yet when I walk down the street

when I am with my family

or working in the office...

I feel as though I' m some alien

Someone no one will ever understand

I don't know why I feel this way

but I do...

Perhaps the wings are there

I just haven't looked hard enough
