Civil Engineer Minimum Salary

When I graduated in high school, and decided what course I'll took in college. I've decided to take an Engineering Course, why?.. because one thing I love math, I always do..solving mathematical problems is much easier than solving your very own life problems, you just need a formula, a pen and a paper...but real-life problems needs much more than that.

Anyways I decided to take Civil Engineering Course, because of another thing. Well they say I can be rich and I can finally help my family , when I became one. They say when I compare others profession's salary, Civil Engineer is one of step higher, so visioning that in my mind, I push it through hard times for five years just to graduate and claim my Bachelor's degree, another year to finally claim my license. And now I am finally a license civil engineer, and now working as a site engineer to a 40million plus project.

It's exciting to work, you'll be pressure and the stress will always there but the fun and exciting moment when you accomplish something far from your expectations are quite fulfilling. I enjoy my job, I like my job. But there's one thing that bothers me. Yes, as you may guess..it's the Salary..it's always what we strive, a greater salary.

Nowadays I've been starting to think, what if I chose teaching profession instead of this one?.. Honestly speaking, nowadays I just find my salary lacking, that it's not enough. I have two sisters studying in college under my supervision, my father gives them their weekly allowances and I'm just providing them food for they stay and live with me. My salary is just enough for us to eat three times a day, I can't even buy myself a thing or two. And I even have debts to some of my college friends, I have a motorcycle that I used as a service, but I'm paying it by monthly installments. My 15k salary per month, is just enough to pay my debts and our necessities. Sometimes I even have to ask financial help to my father, and I feel guilty about it.

Anyways I'm just hoping that government will also declare something or make something, like increasing or providing a minimum salary for us, be it private or public. As a matter of fact I know too, that I'm still incapable of demanding a high salary, for I'm still an amateur, having no experience and achievements at all, maybe I just deserve my salary for now.

Hustle ng hustle, if ever I gain more knowledge about the thing Im doing, Ill invite you someday, one day. Para grow lang ng grow.

Yes Po another good side of being a Civil Engineer is having sidelines, but nowadays it's also hard to find such, instead of coming to you, clients much prefer the experienced one.
