The Boy Child

The Boy child...

... Is the architecture of the limelight, the doom and the many uncertainties that the world would face in the years to come. The spell of what is good or bad is dependent on both sex — the girl child who's errant has already begun to be taken ardent care of, and the boy child too, whom the society has forgotten to address.

A Boy child grows in a neighborhood of crises, fear hanging there too. He is taught to speak in vulgar languages or the ‘f' factor, either ways, they speak what is not right. At four, he begins to understand the systems of making passes to girls in the name of playing ‘mummy and daddy'. A boy child is not protected from abuse. While the other boy child who has the opportunity of good living learns in school, the other mishandled, mismanaged boy child hawks petty goods under the harsh influence of the sun.

Seven score years later, we hear the news of a teenage boy who was caught in the act of robbery or rape, and we cry. But we are the harbingers of our own problems.

A boy child is a child to all and a child to none. Teach them and they will not grow into ruthless fathers that beat up their wives. Enlighten them, and they will not turn out to become wicked rapists.

You see, the law of expanded biology states that life gives you what you give to it, and in that same manner a boy child gives you what you give to him. You give a boy child ignorance, he grows up to be ignorant of good morals.

You give a boy child access to pornography, he becomes a pioneer of masturbation.

You give a boy child inadequate care, he learns to do inadequate things in inadequate circumstances.

The basic of it all is that a boy child grows into what we nuture them to be.

It is everyone's course to save the boy child, because if we don't; they'll end up raping girls which may eventually turn out to become someone's daughter.

Even as the society is garnering much effort in the fight for the girl generation, the boy child should not be forgotten for most often times most of the crises we see are perpetrated by the boy child who had grown into a wolf like adult.

Until this is done...

The boy child forever suffers destruction and an unfufilled life. A boy child remains that unkempt hawker on the devouring streets of our country.

This is a call for duty,

Let everyone,

In their own bits and whole

Join hands together

To establish the restoration of the boy child.

A child who until then sits on the boarders of destitution and corruption.

For that kidnapper in the state prison can be trained to become a professional policeman, because a child at infant could have held the dreams of becoming security, but being in the claws of misdirection, had turned that dream the other way round.

The future of our nation is beautiful but it only lies ahead. We can only get there by saving our society – the girl child and the boy child prospectively – from putting up qualms in the good, beautiful thing that yet is not, but shall be.

This are the dreams for the boy generation.
