What Does 2023 Hold for Solana?
The downfall of FTX was a huge uppercut for Solana, if that's not enough, two of the biggest projects on the platform, DeGods and y00ts piled-on by announcing that they are moving on to another blockchain. There are some glimpses of hope that might help revive it in 2023 but it's definitely a steep and rocky mountain to climb for the platform.
Solana is planning on launching the 'Solana Mobile' and 'JumpCrypto's FireDancer' in 2023 which may offer some solace for the users.
Solana Mobile
Solana has announced that it will be launching their own smartphone called Saga in 2023. This made the blockchain first of its kind to develop a phone for the purposes of Web3 and dApp. It is also believed that the phone will enhance security while creating an easy user interface.
The phone's specs are as follows:
System - Android
Display - 120 Hz OLED
Size - 6.67”
Storage - 512 GB
RAM - 12 GB

JumpCrypto's FireDancer
In August of 2022, it was announced that Solana will be working with JumpCrypto to improve the platform's efficiency, reliability and throughput.
The joint project is called FireDancer and it is a new open-source validator client for the network that will run alongside the existing one. Which is also expected to launch in 2023.
Final Thoughts
Honestly, I'm very exited to see how these two projects will turnout in 2023 but I still have my doubts that these projects will be enough to return Solana back to glory. I am rooting for Solana and very much hope that it will show its and the crypto world's resilience, in spite of the current market conditions.
