Hello,

I read some articles about Ripple and XRP but I was still confused. So, I made some googling to better understand the difference between the different terms used when talking about XRP.

I hope this will help you remove any confusion that you still have, if you have any...

XRP Ledger: is an open source software created by Ripple in 2012. It keeps record of XRP ownership and provides a secure mechanism for executing financial transactions. None owns the XRP Ledger not even Ripple.

Can XRP be mined? No, XRP cannot be mined. The 100 billion XRP were premined by its creators. No more XRP will ever be created.
