In order to achieve a healthy living you must follow these basic steps and do not break it. These steps are very simple to do so there is no reason for you to not do it.
Sleep 8hrs
Unless less than 5% of the population has the ADRB1 or DEC2 gene modified, it takes 7-9 hours of sleep a day to strengthen the mind and restore the body.
Make sure your bedroom is dark and quiet and do not drink coffee after 2pm. Also, clean up your smartphone 30 minutes before going to bed. Do not work or eat in the bedroom. Then you will know that your body is in this room. When you are in this room it's time to sleep.
Stay Hydrated
The body needs water to regulate body temperature, nourish cells, maintain bowel function, prevent headaches, and improve sleep.
If possible, bring a glass bottle of water and don't forget to drink green tea instead of black tea (black tea is dehydrated).
Release sweat and toxins
Daily sweat releases toxins, helps keep the body in shape, and strengthens the immune system. And last but not least, daily exercise releases the happiness hormone (endorphins in the body).
Healthy foods/products
Organic food does not contain cancer-causing pesticides, artificial colors and preservatives. Local produce is not shipped to refrigerators from other continents (this causes most vegetables to lose half of their nutritional value before they reach the store!).
You don't have to follow the latest superfood trends around the world. That said, if you have very good pearl barley in your home country, you don't need to eat Peruvian quinoa.
Propagate Kindness to everyone
Start with yourself. You cannot share energy until your own cup is full. Acknowledge yourself for what you have achieved.
Practice gratitude and write down 3 positive things that happen every day.
Protect yourself. If you stop doing hard work for yourself, you can still handle it. If you're not afraid to fail, you'll start doing more of the things you've always wanted.
Then start being kind to others. All of them. Start with one kind act a week and you'll soon find out just how addictive it can be.
Please inform yourself first before you try to teach others.
The article starts with a very controversial topic. I researched 8 hours of sleep are way too much. You just need it if you are sick. Also 15 min power naps all 4h seem to be most healthy...
Why is barley healthy?
It contains gluten. Gluten is not digestable and no nutrient. There is no reason to eat gluten as there is no reason to eat pesticides or animal products.
