As an expression of feelings, smiling is associated with happiness. Smiling is good. Smiling is fun, both for yourself and for others. When the mood is good, it is so easy to give a smile. However, is it the other way around?

Emotions control a person, that's generally how it is. When feeling happy, it's so easy for us to smile, laugh, or cry. When feeling disappointed, it's so easy for us to frown, be upset, cry, or get angry. Such expressions are indeed given by God to humans so that one's feelings/hearts can be seen clearly.

However, not all humans show expressions according to their emotions. Someone who is sad, can laugh out loud in the midst of his friends. Someone who is in a panic, can just look calm in going through his days. Someone who is happy, can also act like nothing happened. So, apart from showing someone's feelings, expressions are also used to hide feelings.

Then what if we show an expression without a purpose to show or hide something? Could it be? Crying without the emotion of sadness or emotion, it's very difficult. Laughing without feeling happy or amused by something can be bland and weird.

Smiling, as the lightest form of expression, is something we can practice. What for? There isn't any. That's why this article is entitled "Smiles Without a Reason". We will smile without an underlying emotion. Doesn't have to be happy. Don't have to be sad.

Is smiling good? Of course. Because it's good, we don't have to be forced by an emotion to smile.

My friends,

Smiling is a good thing. We will easily find the benefits of smiling. Yes, smiling is easy. However, is it easy to maintain that smile? Smiling for no reason, how long can we do it, until finally smiling becomes a habit, not a mere expression?
