On August 8, blockchain data platform Longhash revealed on Twitter that over 10,000 blockchain companies had been established in China in 2020. In only 7 months, 2020 has nearly matched the figure from 2019 and is at just under half as that of 2018.
84,410 companies have registered, with 29,340 companies are in operation
Most companies are located in the Guangdong province
Nearly 50% of companies are registered with a capital of 5,000,000 Renminbi (approximately $720,000) or less
2019 saw 13,885 companies launched, while 2018 was the runaway year for the industry with 18,500 launches
