The objective of archery is to get the arrow nearest to the centre of a circle from 70m
The size of the target is 122 cm in diameter with 10 concentric circles getting smaller and smaller the smallest being the bullseye worth 10 points with each outer ring counting down to 1 point less each time
The events begin with a ranking round and then knockout rounds
Starting with 64 athletes in the men and women they all partake in ranking round, highest score ranking 1 and lowest 64 then the knockouts begin with 1 st playing 64th 2nd playing 63rd and so on.
The teams consist of 12 different teams, again with a ranking round being involved the top 4 getting a bye to the quarter final the other 8 knockout for the other 4 places and then continue quarter-finals =, semifinals final etc

Is a bit different for individual and team rounds?
Individual:
In the ranking round they will have 72 shots to give them their seed
In the knockout rounds scored by sets, in each set each archer shoots 3 arrows if they win they get 2 points draw 1 point lose 0 points - first to six wins.
Team: In the team round 6 arrows are shot each by each team, 2 points for winning the set 1 draw 0 for losing and it is first to 5
