The battle to take control of the course of money has already begun a long time ago and it is now that the EU is positioning itself. This June 29, EU legislators reached an agreement to require exchanges to identify cryptocurrency transactions. Within the agreement will be exchanges, custodians, and trading platforms. Only P2P transfers between individual wallets escape control. Ernest Urtasun, co-rapporteur of the bill, said:
“This regulation introduces one of the most ambitious travel rules for transfers of crypto assets in the world. We hope other jurisdictions will follow the ambitious and rigorous approach the co-legislators agreed to today.”
In all the transfers made, the operators will be obliged to collect data from both the sender and the receiver, which will prevent anonymous transfers from being made. The law still needs the approval of the European Parliament but we all know how it will end.
Personal thoughts
These people are at war in different parts of the world even if you only hear about Ukraine. At war with Russia, Afghanistan, Yemen, Palestine, Ethiopia, Haiti, China, Myanmar, and against the Islamic State. I say these people because for me NATO is the organism beyond the US or the EU having their differences and internal struggles for control. The same people who use all kinds of systems to evade taxes and illegally trade weapons throughout the globe to supply each other in each conflict, if those people, are they the ones who are going to regulate our movements?
For those who are not friends with the control of the authorities (there does not have to be a criminal motive) the time has come to abandon any type of minimally centralized platform.
