Xiaomi has filed a patent application for a "virtual character processing method, storage device, and media". Nothing should get too much attention since we know that Xiaomi is a technology company and they are all filing patents for the metaverse.

What caught my attention with the news is the way of creating the avatars since I think it's a great idea. They would use various DNA sequences to create avatars and store them on the blockchain to protect their unique combination. We are still talking about an idea since the technology is not developed.

The speculations have already begun and many think that the step is aimed at the creation of their metaverse or the inclusion of the avatars in other existing metaverses. The idea of "protecting your unique combination" may suggest the inclusion of NFTs as well.

The truth is that if they manage to carry out the project, very handsome avatars could come out combining DNA sequences from different people and/or animals. Minotaurs, Centaurs, and a lot of mythological or real beings could take shape.

How many of you have played in a metaverse?

How do you think the main metaverse of the future will be?
