Names are very significant. And you are a similitude of the name you bear. In this article, we will be exploring the significance of names.

The idea of names originated from the Ancient Egyptian writing system.

A name is a sound we hear our whole lives. It's something that is instilled in us, and something that we carry with us throughout our lives.

Names hold power. They carry stories, they carry history, they carry the family. And you are a similitude of the name you bear.

So often people will judge you based on your name. It can be hard to manage, and it can be even more difficult to find the right place to start.

Wow, how often do you think about the name you bear?

Some names have power. And some names have a hard time living up to their full potential.

Here are some famous people and their names: Mozart, Nelson Mandela, Harry Potter… the list could go on and on.

A name, in the African sense of the word, is not just a tag, label or alias. A name has power and energy behind it. It has a spirit. It is a similitude of one's being.

Names are very significant. And you are a similitude of the name you bear

There is a reason parents give children specific names often. You are a representation of that name and what it stands for. Sometimes we forget this fact, but there is a greater spirit and power inside each of us. Every single human can change the world and make it a better place.

A full name consists of a father's name and a family name as well as one's given name, so three in all. Each has its own meaning, connotations and characteristics.

Your name tags who you are.

It is your identity, and the information you provide through it represents you. And so, to your past and future selves, your name will always remain a constant reminder of what you once were, and what you might become shorter.

It is not only the name you give yourself: your first, middle or last name, but also the name others give you.

That is a key difference.

Names are very significant. The names you give yourself reveals what you think of yourself.

The names others use to refer to you reveal what they think of you and your place in the world.

Your name is one of the first things people learn about you.

Your name is in control of how you are seen through a lens of assumptions about that name.

Your name can offer protection or create barriers.

Your name defines access or denial to opportunities.

I am not only referring to a name that people know because it defines your public persona and exposure.

I am talking about a name people know because they've been told it defines who you are in private and behind closed doors.

I am talking about names they feel comfortable sharing with others, with no thought of it being classified as privileged, confidential, protected or secret information.

Many might have been tagged thieves, many liars, many thugs among many others.

What name are you known with?

My prayer, wish and daily aim is that In the end, my name will be the sum total of my existence.

It will be more recognizable than my face, more telling than my memories, more important than all of those things combined because my name will, in the end, be my legacy.

My name must represent all that I can possibly be. It must be an expression of my essence, a distillation of myself into a single, simple word. And it must communicate to others who I am, what I am.

It must embody everything that I want to be remembered for, who I want to be remembered as.

It must sing in hearts and minds long after I am gone.

A great man once said: "Names are very sisnificant" and he was right. Names are important. Names are powerful.

When you hear the name Martin Luther King you think about freedom and justice, brotherhood and non-violence, courage and conviction and love.

When people hear your name, what will they think of?

Yeah, in Africa here we don't bear names anyhow, we pick names based on what we value or treasure,,, especially to the Future. I know of people that changed their names after they've grown up because they found out that the names were bring badluck to them. Names are powerful
