The art of Laughter is a powerful medicine. It heals, relieves stress and enhances your immune system. You ought to laugh every day. It will add many years to your life.

Furthermore, it's better than Zoloft for treating anxiety and panic disorders. They offer a bunch of statistics about how laughter is good for you, but I'm going to throw in my anecdotal evidence.

You need a cure to all forms of mental ailment?
Then, Laughter is the best medicine for you.
While it may seem hard to believe, laughter has been proven to lower stress and anxiety levels, increase our immunity and make us more resistant to disease.
When we’re laughing our whole body is engaged. Our muscles, including those in the stomach, core, and heart are all doing their part in the process. Laughing also triggers the release of endorphins – the body’s natural feel-good chemicals. This essentially creates a sensation of well-being and makes us feel better – physically and mentally.
Laughter is the best medicine. It is no surprise that the one who laughs the most has the longest life expectancy.
Despite our busy lives, watching a funny movie or spending time with family and friends helps us reduce stress, relax, and have more positive thoughts — which in turn makes us healthier.
Dr. Lee Berk, a researcher at Loma Linda University, conducted many studies to prove that laughter produces a number of health benefits, including a stronger immune system and more antibodies to fight off infections. Berk also found that laughing lowers levels of stress hormones such as cortisol and adrenaline by up to 20%.
So whether you’re suffering from heart disease or hypertension, laughter can be a critical part of your treatment plan. It’s the best medicine for improving your physical health and well-being, as well as your mental health.
When a cure isn't enough. When you've lost your mind, your savior is laughter. Laughter is the best medicine. The only medicine that works for every disease.
