She felt the warmth of her whole face. She must be blushing again.
Is it right that she was so excited, long after the kiss was still closed her eyes? Embarrassing!
"Let's go?" Billy asked smiling.
She could not speak.
"Honey, come on," he said while pulling her.
Fortunately, he played while they were in his car. She focused her attention outside the window. Until they arrived at the University where the championship was being held she was still speechless. All the while the car was running and she was just quiet and could not even look at it.
First, Billy gave her a smack on the lips. Then, he called her "honey".
He used to use that endearment. He should never change. It was strange for her now when he called her "honey" as if it was a flirtation.
"Come on in," he said to her. She did not realize that they were already there. He got out of the car, then opened the door for her.
When she came down, he immediately grabbed her hand. Again, his hold felt different.
It would have guided her into the University when she stopped it. "I will stay here."
"Why?" its a astonishing question.
"Jen and I talked about meeting here at the gate so you can come in first. They must have been waiting for you before. All right," she said.
"Let's wait for her," he said.
"Billy, come in. It's still early. We are sure we have another seat," ahe pleaded.
"You're alone here, Aki. We'll wait for Jen together," he said.
"Oh, there she is," ahe said when he saw Jen approaching them.
"Go, go ahead."
"Okay," he said, then waved to Jen.
"Text me where you are. I will wait for your text,"
"Okay, all right," she replied.
"JEN!" EXCITED Akiko greeted her friend, hugging her at the same time.
In those moments she had to - she needed someone to tell how she felt. Otherwise her chest would surely explode.
Surprised, she hugged her as well.
"Don't say you miss me, I really won't believe it," she said after they hugged.
"He kissed me!" llexcited while saying it to Jen .
"Really ?!" excited its question. "Wait, who kissed you?" then suddenly confused its question.
"Billy!"
"Billy kissed you ?!" she loud ejaculation which turned other students into the University.
"Sorry," she laughed. "He really did kiss you?"
She nodded. "It was just a smack though. But hey, he never kissed me on the lips! And one more thing, he called me honey, I mean I know he really called me that at times. But this time, it was different. It sounded different. Then, he said, we will talk later, "she said to her friend as if she was a very excited child.
"Finally!" Jen said. "It looks like Billy Lucero has woken up from a long sleep. I'm so happy for you, Aki."
"Wait," she said. "You think ... that means something? That smack, that 'honey' thing, that 'we'll talk later' thing, do you think they mean something?"
"There you go again," she said. "Your negativity exists again. It's okay like this. You, yourself, do you think those things mean something?"
She nodded. "In my opinion."
"That's it!" she said. "Come inside and we may not have a seat yet and we have not seen the Prince Charming of your life. I think when you come out of this University it is not single but double?"
"What do you mean?" she said.
"I just feel like you have a boyfriend when you come out of here."
Suddenly she was attacked again by twitter. Is that how it happens? Why is she feeling, she and Billy feel the same way for each other?
Is her interpretation of her actions correct? What if it is not?
There is only one answer when she makes a mistake and does not fulfill her expectations. She will cry all night again. Just like the nights she found out he had a girlfriend Billy. She erased that idea from her mind. She must first concentrate on Billy's game. She was here to support him. She was there as his best friend.
That's all she will think first.
ALTHOUGH they did not hold the championship game at the University, many of their schoolmates still watched to give support to Billy's team. So they are not caught when it comes to cheering.
Some students paid tribute to the long balloons that were the color of Billy's team uniform. Akiko and Jen were almost overwhelmed by the shouting along with their other schoolmates.
Before the game started. Billy called her to ask where they were stationed.
"Aki, where are you?" he asked immediately.
"We are here in the fifth bleacher. I'm staring at your back," she replied.
It moves to the side where Jen and I are. Jen waved here before him. "Jen and I are waving," she said.
"There you go," Billy said with a smile when he saw them. It also waved back at them.
"Good luck," she said.
The game started shortly.
"Billy! Billy! Billy!" they shouted at the same time when it scored three points.
"Go, Papa Billy!" the group of gays behind Jen and I shouted.
The battle is fierce. Everyone was almost out of breath in the air when the score tied because the opposing team's rocker player scored three points.
All the spectators are already standing.
"Last two minutes! Last two minutes!" they heard the emcee's announcement.
She noticed that the opposing team was watching Billy closely. Every shoot of its team and answered by the opponent. There are only a few seconds left when it snatches the ball from the opponent's court and rushes it to the opponent's court.
The players immediately follow. It stands for a three-point shot. That is the only hope of her team because the opponent only has two points.
She was stunned when he threw the ball towards the ring. It even went around the mouth of the ring before......
