Motivate Yourself to Achieve Goals
I believe most people actually know what to do to improve their lives. Some of them may also know what to do to get what they want. Even if you try to ask people on the roadside, "what do you think you need to do to be successful?", then I believe you will most likely get the right answer. But the question is why didn't they do it themselves? This can be due to a lack of motivation or an inability to motivate oneself.
This is what makes motivation an important part of an achievement, especially in business. Because the greater the desired business achievement, the greater the motivation needed. Self-motivation that will encourage you to initiate and take action.
In addition, motivation creates an invisible but powerful force of motion. For example, have you ever imagined how little it would take to prevent an unstarted train from moving? It is enough just to put a piece of wood 10 cm thick in front of each wheel so the train can't move. But if the train was traveling at 60 miles per hour, it could even hit a 2 meter thick reinforced concrete wall! Maybe that's the picture of a power of motivation.
Zig Ziglar, a well-known motivational speaker, was once approached by a man and criticized. The man said, "you motivational speakers can only come to pump up and motivate people and then you leave and soon that motivation will disappear by itself". But Zig Ziglar replied amazingly, "doesn't that also happen after we take a shower usually before long we get dirty again, and we think it's a good thing to keep showering every day".
I totally agree with this that motivation doesn't always last forever. After all we have to renew it every day. Attending motivational seminars is not a bad thing, but we must realize that motivational speakers do not always accompany and encourage you.
If you want to stay motivated all the time then we are responsible for creating that motivation. The Greek philosopher Socrates said, "In order to move the world we must first move ourselves". Let's see what a motivating force can do:
Motivation is the first step towards achievement. Motivation is the key that opens the door to your achievement. Motivation is what gets you started, while commitment is what keeps you going. A group of motivated sales teams usually achieve higher achievements than salespeople who are left alone. A student who has motivation to learn is certainly better than not motivated. Likewise, running a business with high motivation is certainly better than running a business with low motivation.
Motivation increases willpower. People usually fail not because of lack of ability or lack of knowledge, but usually because of lack of will. With the motivation in a person, the will of a person can be increased. People who are sufficiently motivated will usually find the power of will rising within them. This strong will will be a strong impetus in doing business.
Motivation gives extra energy. We often call other people high-powered or low-powered based on how much they do. I think it might be more appropriate to say that they have high motivation or low motivation. If you have motivation, you must have extra energy. Motivation gives you the power to do many things. Motivation is the reason why there are always things I want to do, people I want to meet, and goals I want to achieve.
Motivation is the basis for excellence. Motivation can change a person from mediocrity to excellence. Human rights leader Martin Luther King Jr. asserted, "if a person has not found something for which he is willing to die, he is not worthy to live". When you find your purpose in life, you find motivation. And when you find motivation, you can achieve excellence.
Motivation is the key to success. I read about two hundred executives being asked what makes people successful. The number one quality they mention is not skill but enthusiasm, and most of them recognize that there needs to be a fire of motivation within people to be successful. We can see how successful business people run their businesses, usually motivation is one of the factors behind their success.
Motivation is like fire from within. So you are fully responsible for turning it on. If you expect someone else to light it for you, chances are the fire will only burn briefly." (Haryanto Kandani)
