Asâkir-i Mansûre-i Muhammediyye(lit. Triumphant Soldiers of Mohammad) is a military founded by Padishah II. Mahmud in 1826 after he closed the ordinary Jannisaries which is known as "Vaka-i Hayriye"(lit. Auspicious Event). It can be seen as a transition period between the modern Ottoman Army and the classic Janissaries as the modern army was the result of a modernisation that took place in the Ottoman Empire as a means to battle the decline of the empire. The military was commanded by Hüseyin Pasha, a former Janissary chief, and Hüsrev Mehmet Pasha served as "Serasker" which means Chief Soldier.

Ertugrul Cavalry Regiment

The military had a Miralay(Squadron Leader) for every eight regiments which were called Tertip(lit. Scheme) later called Alay(lit. Regiment) These Schemes are divided into two, the left and right. The Left and Right division had two other commanders that were subordinate to the Squadron Leader. Every Scheme consists of sixteen company or squad and was a subordinate to the Yüzbaşı(Captain). Every captain had two helpers called Mülazım(lit. Mulazed) every Scheme had one cannon, and the fodders were commanded by Topçubaşı(lit. Gunner) two Schemes was a subordinate of Mirliva(lit. Brigadier) and three Schemes was the subordinate of Ferik. (lit. Lieutenant General) and Ferik was a subordinate of Müşir(Marshal). Every person that has a rank higher than Miralay or Squadron Leader had a title named Paşa(lit. Pasha)

The army is called "Triumphant Soldiers of Mohammad" by the Padishah himself to receive public support for himself to battle against possible riots, which was to be expected as at that time no one that's inside the Ottoman borders was able to win a war against "Army of Mohammad".
