WHY YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE SMART TO BE RICh.

A lot of people think they have to be smart to be rich.

SMART PEOPLE ARE POOR...

If you know this secret I'm about to share with you, you will never be poor.

Now, this secret has brought a remarkable change in my life and I know it would do same for you once you know it.

And you must know this secret now!!!!!

Being SMART can be very dangerous. It can also be very profiting. It just depends on what kind of smart you are!!!

Being SMART has reduced a lot of people to poverty and on the other hand being SMART has lifted people to great heights!!!

You're probably wondering why I'm hammering on two types of smart...

Okay let's look at the BAD SMART

We will begin with the first letter of the word *SMART*

S: Stuffy Mindset

Poor people have a stuffy mindset.

What do I mean?

They have a mindset that resists change and they focus on what's conventional.

They have a fixed mindset and thus a fixed life.

And anyone who is not ready to change eventually goes into extinction.

The dinosaur knows best.Lol

And even this lock down that Covid-19 has brought made it obvious that there has been a shift from the job economy to the skill economy.

The skill economy where you are not paid for your time but skill and result.

But yet this mindset won't let them pick up a high income skill like Copy writing, Graphics design, web development etc and accept the new model.

For you reading, I know your mindset isn't stuffy else you won't seek to get knowledge.

And I'm sure you are making the required change.

Now you will notice that most people's mindset focuses on

Graduate from school

Get a job

Collect salary

Try to be comfortable

This kind of people depend on the system to survive..

Then what happens when the system disappoints and there's no job???

Your guess is as good as mine

M: Memorize their goals

You see, it is said that the shortest pencil is better than the longest memory.

That's because the memory can't be trusted with valuable information.

But these people rather than writing their goals, they keep it in memory.

And truly whatever you don't take the pain to put down on paper is not worth your time.

Even scriptures instruct that we write the vision and make it plain.

The rich understand the power behind writing their goals.

This is key because it brings clarity and energy to keep pushing for that goal.

Alright....

So, imagine someone says one of my goals is to make a million naira this year.

And there was nothing written down..

No daily income goal

No weekly income goal

No monthly income goal

None written down

Nothing to look at to remind him.

The probability that it would be achieved is slim.

He may even forget about it after a month.

Now, do you see the power of writing down your goals!!!

It gives you reasons to chase that dream!!!!

Because, a dream isn't one you see when you sleep....No!!!!!!

A dream is one that doesn't ALLOW you sleep!!!!!!

So, anything that causes you sleepless nights must be written down!!!!!!

A: Act based on feelings

This is one of the most dangerous.

This is the realm where poverty resides.

These people are waiting to feel before they act.

They are waiting for life to happen to them.

You see, there is a law called the law of diminishing intent and it says " The longer you wait to do something you should do now,

the greater the odds that you will ever get it done."

And guess what?

Poverty follows inaction.

In fact inaction mentors poverty.

And you know that money follows speed as the greatest copywriter Dan lok will always say.

Yesterday you said tomorrow but you forget that tomorrow never ends.

My mom always told me "never put off till tomorrow what can be done today"

And remember that procrastination is the first step to failure.

R: Rely on people's validation

Let me start by saying "hmmmmm"

Some people think that people will buy an idea they don't understand or relate with.

See come closer oh

Don't ever expect everyone to buy into your idea before you kick off.

Hmmm

If everyone does there is a problem, coz the truth is if everyone likes you or your idea then you're being very fake and your idea is a very small one!!!!!!

Most successful people were told this same thing "IT WON'T WORK"

But they made it because they did not rely on what everybody thought

It might interest you to know that christain Ronaldo's mom never supported his ambition in soccer... But he knew what he wanted. He did not rely on people validation. See where that got him😊

These people who are poor are expecting the society, their family and even haters to buy into what they want to do before they take action.

The world is so mediocre, that when you decide to be different, those who are not willing to push would want to drag you back.

Some people never made progress because someone

*Doubted them*

*Criticized them* or

*Said the idea was a terrible one.*

Measuring the validity of your action with everyone's consent is the cheapest way to be poor.

T: The Entitled Mentality

This is a disease of the mind

It kills faster than Covid-19

You see, these people with this mindset believe everyone owes them something.

Ah...

Why won't the government provide jobs?

Why didn't my father help me?

Why will that my rich uncle not give me money to start life?

But they forget

That las las you came to this world alone

Nobody, I mean Nobody owes you anything!

Don't make yourself helpless like these people and swim in pity party.

If you need something, then go for it.

Take a step forward and create the future you want to see.

If you didn't take anything, take this

Nobody owes you anything.

Take responsibility for your life now

If you fail its your fault

If you are poor, its your fault.

And like I will always say

the kind of SMART that makes you never reach and explore your potential.

*Sees opportunities*

There's this saying that opportunity comes but once... If you believe that then you haven't really looked around. There are opportunities everywhere. You just have to see it. And to do it you need a free mindset.

Mr A and Mr B both own smartphones. But while Mr A sees his smartphone as a means of socialising alone, Mr B sees his smartphone as a means of earning right in the comfort of his home. MINDSET!!!

Miss A and Miss B both have 5k. Miss A sees it as 5k to make hair. Miss B feels she can do something to that money to make it multiply like learning a skill and earning from it. MINDSET!!!

The good kind of smart changes your mindset to see opportunities when others don't

It's what makes you see a glass that's half filled with water as HALF- FULL instead of HALF- EMPTY!!!

One thing with learning is that there's never a knowledge that's a waste.. well maybe except integration and sine cosine.. lol.. still haven't found where to apply that knowledge in life😂

By availing yourself to learning a new skill you are unconsciously saying to yourself. "I can never be poor!!!". Only a man without skills will depend on his 35k monthly pay(that's if u see one oooo). A man with skills will make that amount in a week!!!

A man without skills that's got a job will one day retire or even let off... But you don't ever retire from your skills.. unless you have made enough and you just want to rest😁
