Yesterday I migrated my account from noise.cash to noise.app. At first I was a bit confused that I could not comment on my friends' posts. I felt like an outcast. Like an observer who sees everything but no one can see him. After @idksamad78699 wrote a post about me (thanks for that), more and more of my friends became aware of me. Now it feels much better because I can comment in very many places. But how must it be for brand new visitors who are still completely unknown and have few friends? It must be much more difficult for them. Won't they be demotivated and leave the platform immediately? What do you think?

Well, think of it like this. You're coming to a new town. You don't immediately go to the mayor and tell him how to run the place. You stay there silently, looking and learning how things work. In the meantime people start to learn about you, if they like you - they connect with you, so you get to know some new friends. If you abuse the relationship, they disconnect from you. When you start to think this way, it seems silly that other networks allow to immediately spam everyone, instead of letting you sit there reading for quite some time. Noise is exactly like that. You start with a single connection - someone invited you. You can talk to that person (invited immediately create a mutual follow), that person can introduce you to the world. More and more people learn about you through that connection. In the meantime, you learn what's acceptable here. If you don't behave, people will not be following you and you might even end up in a vacuum (without any connections to anyone), that will suck. But generally, people do find the way. And I can tell you for sure that interactions here are way more interesting than they were in noise.cash :)
I think the idea is actually good. What is definitely very good is the specificity of new noise. I haven't seen such a system in any social network (but admittedly I am active in very few social networks). Noise is not just another social network, of which there are already so many. What makes me a bit sceptical is the fact that nowadays people (especially young people) are very impatient. Noise definitely has the chance to stand out from the crowd through quality and become very big, which I wish for all of us and especially for you Simon. I admire your perseverance and your innovative strength.
We (the team) wonder though why your posts and comments are coming out in doubles... That's strange.
Within just 2 days at noise.app Telesfor broke it!
That surprises me too. Maybe it's because of my bad internet connection.

Ok, I have to hang my head in shame again for this doubling thing :) We'll have to dig in why that's happening with you.
Probably so that twice as many users read my posts.😂

Weird. Are you using the web version or a mobile app?
So far the web version. This is the first comment using the app. I can use the app from now on, maybe it will get better.
Seems OK through the app. Ok, we'll investigate.
Then I will use the app from now on, I already installed it yesterday, but I like to use Brave browser 😀
Well, it _should_ work in Brave OK. I'm in Brave right now :) That's very weird.
The app is better, it loads much faster.
Yeah, frankly if we were building "just another social network" (there are 10,000+ of them) we'd just not bother. I definitely wanted something new, esp. after looking at comments on Marc de Mesel's posts. I wanted to hang my head in shame each time Marc posted and people commented. And we're far from being done with the new Noise :)

I agree my friend, when I registered here, I felt the same way, I had to rebuild my account completely without any help. It was a horrible feeling that I couldn't comment on anyone's post. And the other thing is that many of my "old friends" consciously unfollow me. I don't know the reason, so I also unsubscribed from them and had to do it a second time when everyone migrated from noise.cash. Do you know where you can see who has subscribed to you and you are not following them yet?
I can't comment on many people's posts too. However I enjoy reading them and I have no plans on unfollowing them.
Everyone works as they please. Unfortunately, I don't have time to read and comment because I work in real life. The ones I stopped, it happened because I had a reason for it. :)
I don't know 🤷. I'm newbie here and still learning.
I think this system works, while the last one was abused by trolls and spammers. I follow a few people and don't have to deal with any spam comments.
Wohoo!!! Happy to see you. Welcome here!
I read all the comments of Mr. Simon and realized that everything he said is true. But sometimes I think that I had some good friends on "noise.cash" I follow them and like their posts and think "when will they see my likes and follow me back so I can talk to them" haha😄 It's been two months, they still didn't notice me
Have you migrated your posts from noise.cash?
Yeah, I did!
If you scroll to the older posts you have made in noise.cash, you can find your old friends there and contact them. That's how I did it. It's a bit time-consuming, but it works.
glad to see you here.. i am sure you will fell welcome in a couple of days :) soon ... you wont be an outcast :)
Thank you for the welcome. I'm glad to see you here. The number of my friends (new and old) is increasing noticeably every day.
That's really an interesting talk , between You Guys in Comment section. Haha really enjoyed! Welcome again
Ohh finally spoted another old gem of noise.cash how are you?
