Text : Deuteronomy 8: 18
KJV:But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.
The passage above reveal to us that the power to get wealth is with God, yet he require that you build your capacity for his blessing to actually be manifested in your life reason his word said .. I will bless the work of thy hands.
Many christians believe in praying for God blessing and expansion but are not building themselves to receive such expansion. The first things God said to man in Gen 1 vs 28.
KJV:And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
God gave man the power and ability that will make him multiply and also make him fruitful. This power gave man the ability to make judicious use of the resources available to him here in earth to his own expansion and wealth creation. While many are waiting for God in prayer for physical expansion ,those that understood the principle of God blessing knows that the only mechanism in place to receive God blessing is through the judicious use of the resources at your disposal, reason God word sayz I will bless the work of your hand.
God created everything needed for Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden,yet he requires Adam to still till the ground just to ensure that Adam multiply the resources at his disposable. God is expecting same from us as His child.
The human effort can not be neglected when it comes to expansion and physical blessing . After creation of everything in Gen 1, we would have thought everything came to pass immediately God was giving those pronouncement,but Gen 2 gave us details of how it really came to reality.
Gen 2: 5 KJV:And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the Lord God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground.
The last part here says there was not a man to till the ground. If God blessing we fall upon anyone then he requires the person effort also and not just in the place of prayer.
Deuteronomy 28 :3,4,5 3.Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field. 4.Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep 5.Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store.
The extract from Deuteronomy 28 shows the different ways God blessing will come, God want to bless in the city,field , bless your ground, fruit, flocks basket and so on..this tells you that the only mechanism in place to receive God blessing is to build capacity around the resources. It shows God will bless your field to yield bountifully unto you after you must have sow on that land, God will curse is blessing upon you while you are in your field/ work and so on. Depending on God blessing alone in place of prayer is just waiting for God to do man's duty. God can do all things must won't do all things.
The story of the master that gave his servant talent shows to us how God has giving everyone talent,skills, knowledge and so on for individual usage and for self expansion and blessing. The bible says the master gave them base on their ability, it a pity the one that had one couldn't do anything with the resources. Don't be active just in prayer while your skills is not been effectively utilize for expansion.
God is a good business man, who want to increase only those that are faithful and have ability to multiply the little they have been giving. The bibles says we will collect from those that dont have a d give to those that have, the reason he doesn't have is because he had not done anything with the little he has and can't be profitable if much is given unto him.
