Nafakhum Waterfall is located in Remakri Union, Thanchi Upazila, Bandarban District. In terms of water flow, it is considered as one of the largest waterfalls in Bangladesh. Some call it the Niagara of Bengal. To see Nafakhum, one has to go to Remakri by boat from Thanchi Bazar on the Sangu river. There are Marma settlements in Remakri, Khum in Marma language means waterfall. Only after walking for about three hours from Remakri can you see this impeccable mystery of nature. The water of Remakri canal came to Nafakhum and fell down about 25-30 feet and gave birth to the nature of this waterfall. Rainbows constantly play here in the light of the sun in the water vapor that comes down at a fast speed. If you are an adventure lover and want to trek in Bandarban, or want to see the deep green game of Bandarban, the life of the tribals, the terrifying form of Sangur or the rocky water game in the turbulent winter, then you should visit the immaculately beautiful fountain at least once in your life.
