99 names of Allah

The 99 names of Allah (Arabic: أسماء الله الحسنى) is a list or compilation of the adjectives of Allah mentioned in the Qur'an and Hadith according to Islam. [1] According to Islam, the basic name or base name is the same. And that is God, but His adjectives are many.

According to various hadiths, Allah has a list of 99 names. But there is no definite sequence of them. So there is no specific list on the basis of consensus. Moreover, according to the Qur'an and Hadith, the total number of names of Allah is more than 99, about 4,000. Moreover, a hadith narrated by Abdullah bin Masood states that Allah has kept some of his names unknown to mankind. [2]

Some of the names of Allah are also mentioned in the Qur'an and a detailed list of 99 names is found in the Hadith, but its authenticity is weak. Nasir al-Din al-Albani also said in the case of the hadith mentioned in Sunan Ibn Majah that "it is saheeh without counting the names". [5]
