An app developed by a Chinese company has been banned in India. As many as 59 other apps are banned in India together with Tiktok after the border dispute between India and China turned violent. Most of them are Chinese.
The tiktok is developed by the Chinese company Bydance. Tiktok, which is formed by making short videos, has become very hip among the younger generation lately. The corporate has denied any involvement with the Chinese government.
The Indian government has recently finish off the app. Additionally, 59 apps are closed. There also are Alibaba's UC Browser and Tencent's WeChat. The Ministry of knowledge and Technology of the govt of India has stated that such apps are clean up for security reasons. But a month after the Ladakh clashes, the Indian government imposed a ban on Chinese companies' products.
Earlier this month, 20 Indian soldiers were killed in clashes between Indian and Chinese forces within the Galwan area of Ladakh. As a result, there are anti-China protests in India. The most popular app Tiktok has 200 million users.
