Staying healthy has never been so important as the need to remain in good health can have a positive effect on almost every aspect of our lives. The greatest"wealth is health." I believe that but can't take credit for that quote. It is attributed to Virgil, an ancient Roman poet. So we're not talking about new discovery here, more like a tried and true fact. Recognizing the direct correlation between health and wealth should not be overlooked, and I'm not suggesting money isn't important, as we all need money to live, but I'm afraid that we take our health for granted at times which can impact our wealth and our ability to live a rich life.
Benefits of Health
1. Helps you to Live Longer
This is one of the most obvious benefits of living a healthy lifestyle and is one of the main reasons why most people look to exercise and eat a healthy diet. For those determined to get the most out of their body in terms of longevity, there is a whole host of evidence that links staying healthy with longer life. One study went so far as to estimate the link between only drinking alcohol in moderation, not smoking, exercising regularly, and eating a healthy diet can extend yo life by up to 14years.
2. Feel better about Yourself
One of the main reasons why staying healthy can be an assistance to your life as you grow older. 3. Control Stress
The modern world we live in is undoubtedly stressful, with the ability to switch off from work being a significant problem. One of the issues facing us is how to handle stress with exercise. Those who live a healthy lifestyle have been proven in clinical studies to have lower levels of stress and anxiety.
4. Save Money
Healthy people save money on medical costs. Sick people spend their hard-earned cash on medical bills rather than on things they enjoy. Are all injuries or illnesses preventable? Of course not, but neither is the stock market tanking. If you set yourself up for success, the impact of unforeseen events won't take everything off track.

No matter what kind of addiction you are affected by a healthy lifestyle filled with exercise can limit your desire for the addictive substance. Whether your vice of choice is food, drugs, or alcohol, you will find a runner's high just as addictive.

Commonly, consumers are unaware of the toxic nature of many foods purchased at grocery stores. Suffice it to say, the less processed the meal. the healthier it is. A person that sticks to eating natural foods prevents unwanted chemicals from entering their bodies. Food additives can wreak havoc on the body and mind. As a matter of fact
6. Prevent Metabolic Syndrome
This may sound like an odd golden rule, but the escalating rise in obesity along with increasingly sedentary lifestyles has produces a sharp spike in Americans being affected metabolically. The National Heart, Lung, and Blood institute explain this phenomenon.
"Metabolic syndrome is the name for a group of risk factors that raises your risk for heart disease and other health problems, such as diabetes and stroke. The term metabolic refers to the biochemical processes involved in the body's normal functioning. Risk factors are traits, conditions, or habits that increase your chance of developing a disease. A healthy lifestyle is a lifelong commitment
Relaxation
It is critical to learn how to relax, take a deep breath, and 'smell the roses as the saying goes. Have a schedule on which you go for five minutes break from work and go outside and take deep breaths, feel the air sound and nature.
