An ideal teacher is the architect of a nation. The talent labour of a teacher is priceless asset of a nation. That's why he needs to be unique and far better than common people. Because the next generation depends on him. There is no specific definition of an ideal teacher. But there are some special characteristics in an ideal teacher. Some characteristics are God gifted and some of them you need to improve. If you want to be a teacher then you need to follow them.
An ideal teacher helps to grow self confident
A high school teacher whose name was Todd Whitaker, he wrote a book, "50 ways to Improve Behaviour". He said that one of the obstacles in a teacher becoming an ideal teacher is the lack of self-confidence of the students.
Most of the students don't believe that their teachers believe them.
Most of the students don't believe that their parents believe them.
So they can't believe themselves.
Those who don't believe on themselves, they have academic and behaviour problems.
To make students confident, the teacher should: Make a goal at the start of the year. It will help a student to be focused on their goals. Their goals will be clarified and get a clear idea about their work. They need to be assured regularly that their teachers are always there whenever they want. This belief will help them to be confident.
A Teacher need to be disciplined: Because it will courage a student to be like him. Because a teacher is a role model to a student. So he needs to follow some disciplinary rules.
Teacher's role in practicing discipline: Students don't learn just bookish lessons from the teachers. They learn behaviour, speaking style and discipline from their teachers. So a teacher should be strict on their disciplinary systems.
Rigor without exaggeration and pomp: Students must be disciplined; However, care must be taken that the discipline or strictness does not reveal pompous or exaggerated behavior.
Maintaining justice among students: In order to maintain humanity and morality, one must try to maintain justice among students. There should never be partiality in judgment.
Sound Knowledge about the subjects
Whatever a teacher will teach the student, he should need a clear knowledge about that topic. So he can make some list to make the lessons interesting.
Identify the problems of the topics.
Make a note of every weeks lecture.
Make the topic interesting that a student can understand and keep on mind that for a long time.
Set a home work and make some quiz for the students.
Try to understand the problems of the students.
Every student comes from different cast and culture. So a teacher should realize this. He needs to cope up with the different culture and environment. By keeping on mind he needs to help the society. As i said that there is no scale to measure a ideal teacher. But he has some significant signs to show the society. And this signs works like a pole star to the new teachers of the society.
Nice one👌. You said them well, imagine if a teacher doesn't know enough about a particular subject he's teaching and the pupils ask him a tough question, he'll be embarrassed if not we'll handled and that would send a wrong signal to the students
