 INSOMNIA DEFINITION

Insomnia which is otherwise known as sleeplessness is a sleep disorder, in which people find it difficult to fall asleep or stay asleep as long as they desired. Insomnia mostly increase the chance of daytime sleepiness, low energy to carry out our daily activities, irritability, depressed mood and in some cases it increase the risk of motor vehicle collisions due to napping while driving.

Insomnia can last for few days to few weeks which is known as short termed while the long termed Insomnia can last for some months.

Insomnia is the most common sleep disorder in the general population, according to health experts, which, once it becomes chronic, significantly affects the health of the person who suffers from it, their work performance and quality of life.

Big meals before going to sleep, diseases and conditions, some drugs, caffeine, nicotine and alcohol, and advanced age, bad sleep hygiene and time changes.


This is focused on changes in lifestyle, rehabilitation and drugs as far as the care is concerned. Is a very bad sickness that need to be checkmated though it could still be traced to the way the person treated himself during adult hood.
