Eveteasing is basically sexual harassment in public. A word indicating harassment on the street or abuse of women by men. The word 'Eve' refers to the 'Eve' of the Bible or 'Eve' of the Holy Qur'an. The word teasing, on the other hand, literally means 'ridicule or annoyance'. So 'Eve' means woman and teasing means teasing or annoying. Once a small part of society was involved in eve-teasing, but now teenagers, teenagers and many middle-aged people are also getting involved. In modern society, the term 'eveteasing' is referred to as 'Sexual Harassment'. 'Sexual harassment' is the kind of activity and behavior that is done emotionally and physically for the purpose of sexuality.
What is meant by sexual harassment is nirup-
a. Unwanted sexual appealing behaviors (direct or in gestures) such as physical touch or such attempts.
B. Trying to have sex with someone using institutional or professional powers.
C. Speaking of sexual harassment or harassment.
D. Illegal application for sexual opportunity.
E. Showing pornography.
F. Sexual appeal posture.
G. Teasing through obscene gestures, sexually abusive language or comments, following or following someone, making jokes or ridicule using sexually suggestive language.

J. Containing still or moving images for the purpose of blackmail or character violation.
K. Forced to refrain from participating in sports, cultural, institutional and educational activities due to sexual harassment.
L. Threatening or pressuring to be rejected in love offerings.
Dr. Trying to establish or establish sexual relations through intimidation or deception with false assurances.
This includes bullying women in the crowd and physically engaging in sexual misconduct, demotions, dismissals, etc., and seeking sexual favors. Even if someone does this kind of thing while dancing at an office party, in an elevator or in a car, there is no chance to take it lightly.

What are the preventive measures against sexual harassment?
Section 294 of the Bangladesh Penal Code states, "A person who, to the annoyance of others ,- (a) commits an obscene act in a public place or (b) sings, recites or utters an obscene song, music or verse in a public place or nearby." By; Any person who is liable to imprisonment for any term which may extend up to 3 months or to a fine or to both ”. With this law it is possible to destroy small incidents in the beginning. According to Section 509 of the Bangladesh Penal Code, "Any person who makes a remark, makes a word or a gesture or displays an object for the purpose of disrespecting a woman's modesty so that the woman hears a similar remark or word or sees a similar gesture or object, or Unauthorized entry into the woman's solitary confinement will result in imprisonment for up to one year or fine or both. "

Directions of the Supreme Court: On 8 August 2007, the Bangladesh National Association of Women Lawyers filed a writ (Writ Petition No. 5916/2008) seeking directions to prevent sexual harassment of women and children in all educational institutions and workplaces, including universities. In this context, on 14 May 2009, Justice Syed Mohammad Mahmud Hossain and Justice Kamrul Islam Siddiqui of the High Court Division issued a guideline on prevention of sexual harassment against women in the workplace, educational institutions, all government-private, semi-government offices and all kinds of organizations
. Relevant authorities will form committees to receive complaints, conduct investigations and make recommendations in all public and private workplaces and in all educational institutions.
2. A committee of at least 5 members will be formed, the majority of which will be women and if possible the head of the committee will be a woman.
3. The two members of the committee should be taken from an organization other than the organization concerned, which works against gender and sexual harassment.
The association subsequently filed another writ petition (Writ Petition No. 69/2010) in 2010, in the light of which the High Court in 2011 issued the following directions.
1. Each police station will have a separate cell for receiving complaints of sexual harassment.
2. Special importance should be given to schools, colleges, universities and other places where women are involved.
3. The aforesaid cell will submit a report to the District Law and Order Committee for this purpose.
