The relationship between sleep and well-being is well-known. People who sleep late at night and wake up late are more likely to get sick - this information has been provided by doctors for a long time. Now the question is - what is the ideal time to sleep to stay healthy, and how long to sleep.

The BBC reports that a review of 153 studies around the world found that sleep deprivation was linked to diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease and obesity. These studies were conducted on 5 million people.

Studies have shown that a few consecutive nights of sleep deprivation increases the risk of diabetes. Prolonged insomnia reduces the effectiveness of the body clock in controlling blood glucose levels.

One study also found that sleep deprivation increases appetite and increases the need for more food. As a result, there is a possibility of getting fat. This results in decreased brain function and can lead to long-term amnesia.

People who sleep less are meant to sleep less than 8 hours a night. On the other hand, people who sleep more are meant to sleep more than 9 or 10 hours.

Studies have suggested sleeping 11 hours a night before puberty. The UK study found that newborns need 16 hours of sleep per day. People between the ages of 13 and 19 should get 10 hours of sleep every night.

Shane Omara, a brain researcher at Trinity College in Dublin, said in a research report that it is difficult to say whether poor sleep alone is bad for your health. But one has a relationship with the other.

For example, those who exercise less tend to be less physically fit. Resulting in more sleep and feeling tired yourself. Exercise is reduced due to being tired again.

There are many who are severely sleep deprived. They do not sleep for more than an hour or two at night. Scientists say this has led to poor health.

A survey of 433,000 people in the UK found that people who woke up early in the morning were 10 per cent more likely to die prematurely than those who woke up early in the morning. Studies have shown that waking up late can lead to various mental and physical complications.

The study was published in the International Journal of Chronobiology. There, it is seen that a person who wakes up in the morning regularly has an average life expectancy of 8 and a half years more than a person who stays awake at night.

Ninety percent of those who develop the habit of waking up at night suffer from various mental disorders. There is a 30 percent risk of developing diabetes. In addition, the risk of developing intestinal diseases ranging from neurological problems is greatly increased.
