World-renowned virologist Dr Warner Green has warned that refrigerators could become dangerous during the Corona epidemic. He made the warning in an interview with NBC Bay Area.
Based on a 2010 study by the American Society for Microbiology, Warner Green said that the Covid-19 or Sars-Cov-2 viruses are very similar to the Sars-Cov virus. And the Sars-Cove virus is more refreshing at low humidity and low temperatures of 4.4 degrees Celsius.
The 2010 study found that the Sars-Cove virus can survive for at least 28 days in a refrigerator.
Dr. Warner Green said the fridge needs to be properly cleaned with an alcohol-based sanitizer or disinfectant. If you buy something from the market, you have to disinfect it very well first.
