The entire South Asian market is dominated by Chinese products, especially in the field of electronics equipment. However, India has decided to boycott Chinese goods following tensions on the border between the two countries. Bangladesh is still the exclusive market for Chinese products. Earlier, Bangladesh was dependent on products from Japan, Malaysia and South Korea.
For the past decade, it has been occupied by China. The main reason for this is that they sell similar products at very affordable prices. Of course, traders are benefiting more than buyers. They are making huge profits by importing the same products from China at low prices.
So far, however, buyers have come to realize that Chinese products are short-lived or fragile. This applies not only to electronics equipment, but also to weapons and ammunition. Even before reaching the destination, there are instances of it failing.
Until 2001, China was a kind of abandonment in Bangladesh. The BNP-Jamaat alliance won the general election on October 1 of the same year and formed the government on October 10.
Then the Chinese quote was opened. Khaleda Zia's government did not take time to strengthen relations with China. During their long five years in power, they signed several agreements with China for the equipment of the country's armed forces. Later, the responsibility of these agreements fell on the Awami League government. As China sided with Pakistan during the liberation war of Bangladesh, the leading party in the liberation war had a negative attitude towards them. But in order to bear the burden of the previous government, the Awami League government has to maintain relations with China. Later they themselves bought two submarines and several warships from China. In this case, it is better to say that they are forced to buy than to buy. Because Myanmar has already received two submarines and other weapons from China. Bangladesh sees it as a threat. China also offered to sell submarines to Bangladesh if it objected. Bangladesh accepted the offer out of a kind of compulsion.
They are aware of the Awami League government's dilemma regarding China. But the expansionist country cannot put direct pressure on Bangladesh as it does not have attached borders. However, Myanmar, a border state between the two countries, has solved their problem. There are rumors that China is now trying to subdue Bangladesh using Myanmar. For this reason, it is thought that China supported the expulsion of the Rohingya from Myanmar. Moreover, China is building a remote seaport in the vicinity of the area from which the Rohingya were evicted.
In reality, China's weapons or equipment are not a problem. The problem is quality. At the same time, China is selling widely used military equipment to Bangladesh, while some weapons are deteriorating before they can be launched. Even then, China is fearful of various lucrative conditions for the purchase of their goods, as well as jujube. Not only old, but also new equipment made in China has been questioned. Especially since the most recent warships of the Chinese navy caught fire for no reason, the arrow of suspicion has been sharpening.
On the morning of April 11, 2020, a fire broke out at the PLA Navy's LHD at the Shanghai Dockyard. Smoke was first seen coming out after opening the rear hanger and rising to the top near the island's superstructure. After the fire was extinguished, the shipyard authorities did not say anything about the extent of the damage. Within ten days the black marks on the damaged ship's superstructure were removed and it was fully prepared for the inauguration of the new model warship of the PLA Navy on 22 April.
However, the intensity of the smoke indicates a large fire that could have caused significant damage. After the fire was extinguished, questions arose again about Chinese shipyards' components, technical quality, industrial safety practices and their adherence to international standards.
The country's shipbuilding industry has made a significant contribution to China's rise to become the world's leading industrialist, starting in the 1990s with a kind of empty hand. The shipbuilding industry has forged a link between the civilian economy and China's defense industry complex. Today, China dominates the world market in shipbuilding. China's shipyards have been able to quickly build both warships and commercial ships.
For several years, experts around the world have been thinking about this
Chines are control the market now.we are badly dependent on them.
