Tonight I made my husband and I an omelette for dinner. I put ham, cheese, bell pepper, onion, salsa and some spicy avocado sauce in it. It was really tasty. What did you have for dinner ?

I wanted to let you all know that I have decided not to use Lightchat anymore. It was really draining my iPad battery fast and overheating my iPad. I depend greatly on my iPad and don’t want to have it play out on me. The people were nice and I think I could have made decent money for an online site, but it just isn’t worth the risk of my iPad breaking. The photo is an old one of a beautiful sunset.

Good Tuesday to you all. I wanted to update you on the Lightchat App. I have tried it for a few days. There is a lot to learn. Even not knowing what I’m doing I’ve made 12 American dollars in 3 days. My sister has been in it for a few months and is earning more. I’ve never used a site like it before and I’m not sure if I can learn to use it like my sister and others. I’m going to try it awhile longer and I’ll let you know if I stay or go from Lightchat.

Hello to everyone. It’s going to be a wet weekend. The rain started yesterday afternoon and will continue off and on all weekend. The good thing is that the rain has cooled the temperature down. It was extremely hot this week. My husband has the weekend off and we will stay home and relax. I hope that you are all enjoying the day.

My sister uses this app (Lightchat) to make extra money. She is doing very well on it. If I can figure it out I may give it a try. It is voice only. I would use the microphone to talk, but no one can see you. I like that I wouldn’t be on camera. Are any of you familiar with this app ?

This is Poppy. After my parents passed she showed up at their home. She’s a really sweet cat. I enjoy her company when I’m working in the yard there. We make sure that she has food and water and she has shelter there . I’d bring her to my home, but Baby is elderly and I’m not sure they would get along.

My husband and I watched a pretty good movie last night. It’s got a good cast and a entertaining storyline. The movie is about a treasure hunt. I’d give it a good solid 7 on a scale of 1-10. Have any of you seen this ? Did you like it ?

My socks get so dirty when I cut grass. This time I got lucky and only got dirt on them. Usually they are covered in grass too. Then I have to pick off or vacuum them before I can wash them. If I don’t the grass gets on the rest of the clothes and doesn’t always come totally off in the washing cycle. Maybe I need to wear ankle high shoes, but my old moccasins are so comfy.

My son made a loaf of bread today. My husband said that it was delicious. I was a good girl and didn’t have any tonight, but I may work out extra tomorrow so I can have a slice with butter. I love homemade bread and butter.

Late yesterday evening the boy that owns the pasture across from us started a fire on the edge of his property near the road. He hasn’t owned the property very long. Maybe 4 years and he does the stupidest things. The fire department has had to come out before. This fire was too close for comfort. I had high anxiety until it started to burn itself out. I hope he’s not getting ready to put in chicken houses or something else unappealing. We love the pasture and the peaceful quiet of our street.

As a child my parents took me to the Great Smoky Mountains several times. It is a beautiful place to vacation. I knew that I wanted to take my son there too. We first took him when he was 5 and then when he was 18 we went to celebrate his high school graduation. These photos were taken at Rock City which is high above Chattanooga, Tennessee in the Great Smoky Mountains. On a clear day with binoculars from here 7 states can be seen. (Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Kentucky, Virginia and Tennessee.) There are many places to see here. I look forward to returning and seeing more. We drive through this area almost every year.

My husband made me breakfast this morning. He made scrambled eggs, sausage , grits , toast and coffee. The toast was made with a low carb bread, but I did eat a small amount of grits. There is no substitute for grits. I haven’t had them in ages and it was a real treat. My son is making Chile Rellenos, Spanish Rice and refried beans for dinner. We’ll have cheesecake that he made low carb for me. We have been watching “The Outer Range” series with Josh Brolin and will watch a Pierce Bronson movie later. (The King’s Daughter) It’s been a very nice Mother’s Day. I hope that you all had a nice day.

Happy Mother’s Day to all of the mother’s. I was blessed to have my mama for 56 years. I was her first child and my son was her first grandchild. I will celebrate her memory today wearing her favorite perfume and a a blouse of hers. I will eat some of her favorite foods and watch a movie that she would have loved. In many ways she is still with me. I think of her multiple times each day. I even hear her voice in my own. 😁

Greetings to you all. I hope that everyone is having a nice weekend. I’ve been looking through photographs. This photo was taken in June of 2019. It is of my father. He is on the left in green and the man in the middle was a dear friend of my parents and his wife was too. They were an Air Force family like us. The couple had been friends of our family since I was 5. Sadly that September the husband of the couple died and then in November my father passed. Little did we know we’d lose them both. Life is so short. Spend it with those you love.

We had southwest chicken wraps for dinner tonight. They had chicken, bacon, cheese, tomato, lettuce, salsa, sour cream, avocado and taco seasoning in them. They were very tasty. What did you have for dinner ?

I was watching the news last night and saw this story that really shocked me. In Oklahoma , USA lightening came through a ceiling vent and struck a toilet and exploded it. If someone had been on it they’d be dead. I have never heard of this happening, but apparently it’s not as rare as I thought. I saw online that it does occasionally happen. I find this scary. Have you ever heard of such a thing ?

I made spaghetti squash and a meat sauce for dinner tonight. The sauce was made of tomato sauce, ground beef, bell pepper, onion, garlic, oregano, black pepper and a bit of cayenne pepper. What did you have for dinner ?

Yesterday we had blue skies and sunshine. We had a high of 90 degrees Fahrenheit. Today we have started the day with the same beautiful weather, but we are expecting thunderstorms later. I think that I will mostly stay indoors today. My husband is home this morning , but will be going to work this afternoon. He has tomorrow off and I always enjoy having him home. How is your weather today ?

It was a wee bit hot today. Once again the shady areas of the yard gave me relief. I am home for now , but plan to go back out after dinner. I still have grass to mow. Mowing is a great workout and I always feel invigorated when I finish. Also, I found a few ant hills that I need to take care of.

I’ve got my work hat on and my sunscreen. I’m on my way outside. I have some more yard work to do this afternoon and I’m going to my parents property to do some mowing there. Working on their property fills me with joy. I feel them with me when I am there. I feel blessed to still have their home and property. See you later.

I’ve lived on my property since May of 1996. We occasionally find old bottles when we are out walking around. Most of the time they are broken. We have found whole bottles and yesterday I found one. They are always partially buried . It is exciting to dig them up. I think this one might be an old medicine bottle. I’m going to try and research it. It’s always a treat to find these treasures.

My father planted these cactus in his yard and mine many years ago. Every year they reproduce. If you break a petal off you can plant the bottom of it and it will make more cactus. They don’t require any attention and thrive very well here. I’m on my way to bed. See you tomorrow.

I spent most of the afternoon outside today. I mowed some grass and did some yard work. It was a hot day, but the trees and a gentle breeze kept me from getting to warm. Did you spend any time outside today ?

My youngest niece loves her pony. I’ve only been on a pony at a fair. My niece seems right at home on her pony. Her older sister rides horses and is in competitions. Have you ever been on a pony or horse ?

This photo was taken 50 years ago this coming September. It is of my 10 th birthday party. I had a slumber party. My friend in the yellow shorts and pink and yellow striped shirt has turned 60 today. Most everyone in the photo will turn 60 this year……including myself. It seems like we were children just yesterday. Where have all the years gone. Have you noticed time moving quickly too ? I am in the back row with my arm in the air.

Today I still have the beach on my mind. This postcard is of my favorite beach in the world. It is Clearwater Beach, Florida . I’ve spent many summer days on this beautiful beach. I was mostly in the crystal clear water. We always had a picnic and made a day of it. Sadly I haven’t swam here since 1987. I did have an opportunity to swim there in 2005 and 2015, but the weather wouldn’t permit me the pleasure. I pray that the next time I’m there I can get in the clear refreshing water. I have a black bathing suit with white polka dots just waiting to be in the ocean. I bought it for a trip that was planned for the summer of 2020 and then the pandemic broke out. Do you like to go to the beach ?

I want to be at the beach so badly, but I won’t get the chance this summer. These are photos of one of my favorite places on one of my favorite beaches. The photos show the Don Caesar Hotel on St. Pete Beach ( Petersburg) in Florida. We always called it the Pink Castle. It was built nearly 100 years ago. I’ve always wanted to go in it, but have only admired it from the outside. I plan to go in it next time I’m in Florida. It’s an extremely expensive hotel, so I may only be able to afford a cup of coffee. Isn’t it beautiful. 😁
