A rainy day is the day when it rains all day long continuously. It is a very common day in our country during the rainy season. The sun is not usually seen on the rainy day.
The rainy looks gloomy,cheerless and dull. The sky remains cloudy on the rainy day. The weather is foul on the rainy day. None can go out of the door without umbrella.
Birds are seldom seen to fly about. Cattle keep standing in sheds and belliw for fodder on the rainy day.
Roads became muddy and slippery on the rainy day. The sorrows and sufferings of the poor are untold.
The day labourer can not go out of the house on the rainy day. As a result, A day labour often passes the rainy day with starvation. So, rainy day is a curse to the day labourer.
A rainy day is a gala day to school and College going boys amd girls. Classes are not held in school on the rainy day. They pass the day by gossiping.
The rainy day does good to us too. It makes the soil soft and fertile. So, the rainy day helps our farmers to grow bumper crops.
Sometimes the rainy day causes the flood and damages houses, crops and roads. After all, a rainy day is both joyful and sorrowful.
