Dependency on technology

Technology is a blessing for our civilization. I wonder how it has made our life comfortable and easier. I'm sure if the cave dweller would see our technology, they would have been amazed and speechless too. But have we ever thought, how the technology is changing our life?

Here I just want to show an example. In 90s, while we were in a family meeting or hangout, we enjoyed it fully by our heart. We had fun all the time. But now you can see persons browsing phone in a corner of a family meeting or hangout. So, in many cases technology has made us unsocial. Once I read a novel, in fact it was a science fiction. Here the author shows how technology can destroy a civilization.

I'm telling it in brief: The then technology was normal like we have now. Then suddenly a scientist from the scientific academy invented a **chip** that made a revolutionary change. They set the chip inside every human being's body and through it they could directly connect with internet. So, they needed not to memorising house number, telephones, names, any documents and many other things. They could get all the description just by their will. Thus they completely became dependent on technology and never used their brain. Days were passing well untill the day arrived when the chip collapsed. As a result, it lost connection with internet.

So, the people couldn't remember anything... where they are now, how to go home, what's his family phone number and many other basic and important things. Thus a technology lead a nation to be destroyed. Through the novel the author tried to make us conscious and has passed a message not to be too much dependent on technology. We know that our technology isn't that much advanced. But think about last century. Who thought that within 100 years technology can be this much improved?
