Human Ignorance

One of the things I find most exhausting about humans is their thinking that they are so intelligent, that they can control everything that happens to them and within their surroundings. Of course, there are different people on earth, those who believe in God, those who believe in evolution and those who couldn't give a nick about any of all that. Those who believe in a god thinks they can control the happenings in their lives, the lives of their loved ones and their surroundings through the power and relationship they have with their god, while the evolutionists believe they can control everything they desire through scientific breakthroughs and advancements, good for them. Then there's the lot who just doesn't care either way, as they believe only they can decide happens to them; these are the guys who are literally invicible in Hollywood movies and series, for example Raymond Reddington😁😁. These set of guys determine their own lives and destiny.

Looking at the above, you can see the only thing these three groups have in common is their thinking they get to determine what happens to them one way or the other, and before I forget to mention, this idea of been able to control everything is subconscious and found in almost every human to grace or defile this beautiful planet of ours( yes, I said defile. If the planet had a choice, there are some people that would have never been born ).

We tend to try to control everything from the food we eat to the clothes we wear, the buildings we live in, the water we drink, the kind of school to go, the safety precautions to take etc. This is all good and all, but the problem with the human way of seeing these things is the certainty they have in these. This certainty only serves to make clear the human ignorance and self glorification.

Let's make a scenario: almost every human who gets vegetables for cooking would go for fresh green ones, would wash them with hot water and all the many process that goes into preparing it for consumption. The intent of all of this is to make sure one is consuming the most nutritious and healthy vegetables available. Is there a problem with that? Absolutely No... But who told you that the very fresh green vegetables you got today was any better in nutritional content than that dark green slightly wrinkled one that was close to it? You didn't exactly go test it in a lab for nutritional values, so why so certain then? Maybe you did manage to get the most nutritious vegetables in the market and you took the best culinary precautions on the book, who's to say that food wasn't contaminated the very moment you served and opened the plate? You do know there's millions of microorganisms in the air we breath, the same air that will be passing through that food as soon as you open it?

You might want to wonder why humans do things that make them feel they get to decide anything really? The truth is humans have this unending subconscious feeling of helplessness that they subconsciously seek to mask by showing control, balance and order(three things humans are in practice, least capable of). This feeling of been able to control things makes us feel better about ourselves and safer in this world we've found ourselves.

I'm not saying humans are incapable of controlling anything.Over the years, we've been able to fairly tame nature's rage and use it for our own benefits even, that's control. The problem arises with the human desire to eliminate all probability on every front on every thing. There are things that will never be within the confines and control of man's intellectual advancement, the sooner we accept that, the richer our lives become and the more we will see our place on earth. When we realise that we can only try to do things but not have any real guarantee, the pressure we put on ourselves will greatly reduce and that makes for a better livelihood.

You can try to control the healthiness of your diet by eating at the best restaurant and eating canned food, but don't forget a chef back there might make a slight mistake that might result in a strand of his hair getting in your food, and I'm certain he wouldn't say for fear of losing his job, so much for a healthy diet. Even in canned food or beverages, things that are unbelievable gave been reported to be found in it, ask yourself how did they get there?

Conclusion

I'm just using food as an example, but this actually extend to everything we do and every area of our lives. We need to accept the truth for what it is, we can only try and try we should, but we should also acknowledge that there are so much uncertainties and unknown variables, such that we don't really get to decide the outcome. It might look like the outcome is what we want it to be, that doesn't mean it actually is or we were 100% responsible for it. Luck or chance or whatever just might have had something to do with it.

Ignorance in human being blinds the true habit of a particular individual and that is 30 percent of the problems we have now adays. Why not say we dont know it than mask our true act so as to advert a problem quickly than just extend it till its too late.

We are all human beings. There should be no such ignorance in us. In fact, there is a lot to be said about people, because understanding people is one of the most difficult things.
