1. Is the Digital Secure Key secure enough?
You can rest assured that Digital Secure Key is designed with advanced and secure technology in mind.
Once you activate the Digital Secure Key on your selected mobile devices, it will be linked to your own Internet Banking account. Other users will not be able to use the Digital Secure Key feature on their devices to log into your Internet Banking account.
To generate a security code, you will be asked to verify by entering a 6-digit PIN or using biometrics for authentication.
2. What will happen to my existing Security Device if I activate the Digital Secure Key?
Once your Digital Secure Key is successfully activated, your Security Device will be invalidated immediately. For security reasons, each customer can only use either the Security Device or the Digital Secure Key feature at a time to generate a security token. The Digital Secure Key can provide a security code for Internet Banking login or transaction verification.
3. Can I set up Digital Secure Key on multiple devices?
Yes, you can set up the Digital Secure Key feature on up to 03 devices.
4. I am a new customer. Can I opt out of using the Digital Security Key and get a Security Device?
The Bank encourages all customers to use Digital Secure Key to make login and using Online Banking simpler and more secure.
5. I want to activate my Digital Secure Key. What I have to do?
For existing customers using the HSBC Vietnam app and having an activated Security Device, you can activate your Digital Secure Key by updating to the latest version of the app and following instructions on the screen.
For new customers registering for Online Banking service, your Digital Secure Key will be automatically activated after the latest version of HSBC Vietnam app is successfully installed on your mobile device. Customers.
6. Currently, I am using Online Banking but have not used HSBC Vietnam app. How will I need to activate Digital Secure Key?
Download the HSBC Vietnam app.
Verify your information (as required).
Enable Digital Secure Key.
Set up a 6-digit PIN.
The Digital Secure Key feature has been activated!
From the next login, you will be able to see options to generate a security code.
Note: Your Security Device will be invalidated immediately when you activate the Digital Secure Key.
7. When prompted to activate the Digital Secure Key, can I opt out and continue using the Security Device with the HSBC Vietnam app?
You can only delay the activation of the Digital Secure Key for a limited period of 90 days specified by the Bank. During this period, you can still use your Security Device and HSBC Vietnam app as usual.
