Kadam flower brings the message of arrival of monsoon. Kadam is like a messenger of rain! Kadam's relationship with Ashar is intense. Usually the first rain of Ashar is the first step. Kadam flowers cover a large part of ancient literature. The round white-yellow flower looks like a small ball. This combination of flowers occurs throughout the tree. That moment is a wonderful beauty.

Kadam flower is also known as Neep. Apart from this, Vrittapushpa, Meghagampriya, Karnapurak, Bhrangaballav, Manjukeshini, Pulki, Sarsap, Lalnapriya, Survi, Sindhupushpa are also the names of Kadam. It is native to the tropics of India, China and Malay. Kadam trees are found in many countries of the world. Apart from Bangladesh, the tree is found in China, India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Papua New Guinea and Australia.

The Sanskrit name of Kadam is Kadamba. Kadamba means to make Daya Birhi sad! Kadam flowers cover a large part of ancient literature. Throughout the medieval Vaishnava literature there are fragrant makha Radha-Krishna's Birhagantha! Kadam flowers are mentioned from Bhagwat Gita to folk songs, folk songs and Rabindra-kavya. In Vanusinghe's verses, Vaishnava verses and Sri Krishna kirtan, the word Kadam tree has come in various forms. His eulogy is adorned with many parables. There are also various rhymes and poems about Kadam tree in rural Bengal. Sushma of Kadam is still expressed in the mouths of people in many rhymes like ‘Moon has risen, flowers have blossomed, Kadam is on the floor, elephants are dancing,

horses are dancing, Sonamani's bay’. Kadamgacha is a sacred tree of Buddhism. Kadamgacha associated with Lord Krishna in the eastern part of India. From the leelakhela of Sri Krishna to the separation of Radha and Krishna, everything mentions the Kadam tree.

Kadam tree is elongated and multi-branched. Kadam is one of the most beautiful. Kadame ka- simple, well developed, from gray to almost black and rough, rough in many cracks. The branches are azure and extend parallel to the ground. The leaves are large, ovate, bright-green, oil-shiny. Its stem is very small. Steps shaded for intensive foliage. The height of this tree is up to 40-50 feet. Kadam leaves fall in winter and young leaves grow in spring. The young leaves of Kadam are light green in color. A full bud on the foot usually looks like a flower. Kadam flowers look like balls, scattered in a fleshy inflorescence. The color of this flower is white-yellow. However, when the petals fall off, it only looks like a yellow round ball. The fruit of this tree is fleshy, sour and a favorite food of bats and squirrels. Although wood cats are now extinct animals. Bats are on the verge of extinction from this region.

Although it is amazing to see a flowering kadam tree, its financial value is not so much. So no one takes Kadam tree seriously. Many also cut down naturally occurring trees. Furniture cannot be made because wood is soft. Matchboxes and boxpets are made of wood. The bark of the tree is used as a medicine for fever. Leaf juice is fed to young worms. The bark and leaves are analgesic. Leaf juice is also effective in mouth sores. In some areas, Kadam flower is cooked and eaten as a curry.

The word ‘kadam’, however, has multiple uses-from human names to sweets, haircuts, place names. There may not be a region in Bangladesh where there is not one or two steps. The word kadam is also widely used in the sense of walking or walking. But beyond all meanings, this 'Kadam' is the name of the most well-known flower in Bengal. Steps like flowers are scattered all over Bengal. But whatever the name, who else has been able to tell the story of the rainy days of Bengal more beautifully than Rabindranath. ‘You have donated the first step of the rainy day / I have come to give the song of Shravan ...’ - Rabindranath Tagore's song of this nature stage has become a unique consonant of rain call in modern life day by day. Although that first step flower does not wait for a rainy day today. Before the rains come as a diary, he is ready with the message of the arrival of rainy days. The pollen of Kadam flower may still be washed away in the rainy season in the forests of Bengal. The ajra petals of Kadam merge with the river-ditch-canal-beel. Keya-kadam smiled with double the softness soaked in the rain-soaked flowers of the trees. What village is without Kadam tree! There they grow and live in neglect. At one time there were many shallow forests in the locality. Now, even though the number has decreased, there is no way to keep an eye on the Kadam tree as soon as it rains. In a balanced combination of green leaves, the rain leaves with white petals like white rain on the yellow body. Just as the overflowing water of the canal-beel adorns and floats the water lily, so does the kadam flower of the monsoon intoxicate the environment. Monsoon means the sweet fragrance of bunches of Kadam flowers. Thirsty trees get back to the vibrancy of the rainy season. The fauna also became alive and fresh. Or looking at the sky to get a bed of clouds in the pouring rain, nature-loving people still become memorable.

The evergreen kadam tree with white-yellow buds in the green leaves is not so noticeable now. Kadam flowers are slowly disappearing from nature. At one time a lot of kadam trees could be seen in different districts of Bengal. In the age of mechanical civilization and urbanization, people are cutting down the Kadam tree for trivial needs. The rain is somewhat incongruous without footsteps. In order to preserve the heritage of nature, it is necessary to plant Kadam tree along with other trees in government and private initiatives.

The day of Kadam flower has come. Ashar is going on. It's raining though
