The kite Runner is first novel which i read. It always hold a special place in my heart.From this novel i have gained immense knowledge. This novel is written by khaled Hosseini. He is Afghani-American writer.

Story
It was 2001 when Story starts with Amir who received a phone call from Rahim khan( Friend of his father). After that call, he start thinking about his past from 1975 when he was a child and they were resident in Kabul Afghanistan. Amir was living in a big house with his Father ( Baba) and they have two servants Hassan and Ali. Hassan was the son of Ali.
Hassan and Amir both are friends. They always play together and Amir reads books and stories for Hassan. Amir also loves to write stories but he feels that his Baba doesn't show as much love to him as he shows to Hassan. In contrast, Rahim khan always admires the efforts of Amir.
Amir used to think that might his baba doesn't show love to him because his mother died at the time of his birth. On the other side, Hassan's mother left them when hassan was born. So, on both sides there is no mother.
When Hassan and Amir used to go out they often got to hear taunt of people. There were three child "Aseef,Kamal and Wali" who always bully Hassan.
Aseef was against Hassan because he was from Hazara Tribe. So in short he was enemy of every Hazara.But in those moments Amir supported Hassan.Overall, Amir was bit envy of Hassan as his father always loves both of them in a same way.
In winter, Kabul get cover with snow and they fly kites in the sky. That year, Amir also thought to take part in the contest. Amir wanted to win this contest at any chance because he wanted to grap all the attention of his father.<center>
A night before contest Amir saw a strange dream but Hassan wished him with goodluck and he motivated me. During that Contest Amir was accompanied by Hassan.Amir won contest and he said to hassan to bring that kite back. Hassan went in search of finding that kite. It was getting late, Evening was becoming old and Amir was worried that why still Hassan not there?
Amir went in search of Hasaan. After asking a merchant he got to know the direction. He went to that rugged area of slope where a pomegranate tree was standing. Hassan was standing there holding a kite in his hand and Aseef, Kamal, Wali were trying to get that kite from him. Hassan refused to give that kite to Aseef. On that point, Aseef forcefully raped Hassan. Amir was seeing all these things but he did nothing. Even he went from that place to home.<center>
Feeling of guilty and sorrow was taking Amir's mind in his envelope. On the other side, Hassan didn't come out from his blanket and room for almost one week. Ali(Father of Hassan) even inquired Amir that anything happened? But Amir didn't break silence. To celebrate the success of Amir his Baba threw a party but he was not happy because his heart was heavy.<center>
After almost a week Hassan returned back to track but this time Amir don't want to face Hassan. This attitude Amir was may be due to guilt that he could not stand for his brother like friend. He just wanted to get rid of Hassan and his father Ali. Even Amir placed his gift watch at the place of Hassan to prove him a theif. Hassan already have saw Amir when he was placing that watch. That's why he accepted the accusation. But Baba of Amir forgave them. In response of Amir and his Baba's action, Ali and His son didn't want to stay there. So they left that home with permission of Baba. Their absence pinned so hard in the heart of Baba.<center>
Story shifts to 1981 and shows the time of Russian invasion in Afghanistan. Amidst this terrible condition Amir and his father left the country and took shelter in Peshawar (Pakistan). While they were resident in Pakistan, Baba applied for visa of America. They went to America. There Amir completed his education and he also found a beautiful girl for him who was Soraya. While they were spending their married life Baba passed away due to Cancer.<center>
That was the time when story comes in the present from complete flashback where Amir in 2001 listening to telephone of Farid khan.
Amir decided to go Peshawar to meet his father's friend. He got to know that Hassan who was his friend in childhood was actually his brother. Ali was not biologically father of Ali. So that was the reason of his Baba's love for Hassan. When he came to know the fact he was determined that he will go to Kabul and will meet his brother Hassan. But to his surprise he found that his brother was killed. All these demotivating truths didn't down his morale as he still want to go there to find Sohrab who is the only child of Hassan and his wife. He made his way to Kabul alongwith a driver Farid Khan who was always with him through the perilous journey.
They searched so much about Sohrab and they got to know that after his father death he was sent to Orphanage. They reached that place where orphanage was located but they told Amir that they have sold sohrab to Taliban. They also provided the reason that they were running short of food that's why they took this step. After so much search and wandering they reached to their destination. When Amir entered building and sat there for meeting with head. They fought with Amir and Amir got to know that he is non other than but Aseef. During their fight, Sohrab helped Amir as he threw a stone with the help of catapult and in this way the made an easy escape. Later on, they went Islamabad and then to America where they went live their rest of the life happily.
The story is so close to my heart. The novel explains the bond of friendship with grows as the characters grow. The feeling of guilt is dominant in this novel. The plot and setting is perfect in the novel. Everything is so proper and arranged. Suspense is the very element of the novel which is key thing to engage a reader.
I tried my level best to tell the story in concise and accurate way.
