Even if the PS3 came out with a small start in 2007 don't let that fool you the PS3 is already preparing for a good year with some hot release expected. Here is a list of the three games that will come out in '08 .. EA's NFL Tour, Free Radical Design's HAZE, and Konami's Coded Arms Assault.
H1: NFL tour
Coming from the BIG category of EA Sport is what can be considered a slow exit for their popular NFL Street series. They have abandoned roads and beaches in favor of grand exhibitions. No more playing with drums and sidewalks, playing in front of large crowds with pyrotechnics and all 9 yards. There is also some progress in playing the game too - when a player starts contacting you you are given the opportunity to punch, raise the receiver or give your hit an “extra” hit. Street players will see the general power of the "Gamebreaker", and most of the game is left untouched in any way but improved in the look of the graphics. This game is expected to go down on January 8 so be ready!
H2. :HAZE
Playing as an employer for a company owned by a large organization that is supposed to keep the peace Mantel is expected to play the game successfully at least twice. Why twice? Of course once on both sides obviously, this is because playing on Mantel’s side you realize that you and your other allies are being randomly driven by a drug called Nectar, but this leads to unintended consequences. Another time when you take the side of the rebels you are controlled by your cruelty. With beautiful graphics and visual AI that don't feel useless ... this gem is released on stateside January 18th.
Konami released the game on the PSP at the beginning of the program's lifetime with the names Coded Arms and after gaining success with the title they went on to make one in the PS3 series. Like HAZE, Coded Arms Assault is a future FPS with you playing solider. Apparently your character is a young villain who got access to a system they shouldn’t have been in and is put into a physical battle. The bullets are replaced by hexagons, and the enemies evaporate. With the game ending with the Unreal 3 engine expect some of the best looking images to match the "digital" effects. This game doesn't have an official release date yet, but from the look of it you'll just hear about it once it's released.
