"If one is really happy to see a martyred person and wants to cool his eyes, then he should see Talha Ibn Ubaydullah (Radiyallahu Anhu)."
When the situation became unfavorable to the Muslims on the hard ground of Uhud, when the Prophet became insecure, Talha (may Allah be pleased with him) took a firm stand with the eleven of the Ansar and the Muhajireen with the Prophet. Mubarak was martyred by the teeth of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), and blood spurted from his face. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) was accompanied only by Talha (may Allaah be pleased with him).
At this time Abu Bakr Siddiq (Radiyallahu Anhu) came running and saw 40 to 79 marks of injuries on Talha (Radiyallahu Anhu). He did not have a wrist of one hand. He was unconscious. But by the grace of God, he survived.
Then whenever Asto Abu Bakr Siddiq (Radiyallahu Anhu) used to say about the battle of Uhud, "The whole day of the battle of Uhud belonged to Talha (Radiyallahu Anhu)."
