**What are Amicable pairs?**

284 can be divided by *1, 2, 4, 71, 142. The sum of these 5 numbers is 220. Also sum *of all 220 divisors is 284.

That is why 220 and 284 are called Amicable numbers. And this pair was either discovered or known already by Pythagoras.

The next Amicable pair is (1184, 1210).

## How many such pair exists and how to find new Amicable pairs?

There is a BOINC project to find out all the pairs up to 10^21. https://sech.me/boinc/Amicable/

Newly discovered pairs are being published on the project page: https://sech.me/ap/

Total known pairs is **1,226,291,419 **

**Want to be part and continue the pythagorean search?**

Amicable numbers are running on CPU and GPU and best to be run on a PC. I do not run it on mobile phones, at least.

**The Berkeley's BOINC software is available as follows:****https://boinc.berkeley.edu/**

This project is also whitelisted with the GRCPool that is an additional option to get some Amicable Gridcoins.

I did not heard nothing about Amicable pairs, thank you for good information
