Howdy! Last week we celebrated Mamo's 83rd birthday. My sister in law came and joined with us as well. It was quiet and simple. Mamo made some traditional food "sarmi" cabbage rolls. It's rice with mushrooms, wrapped with pickled cabbage mmm one of my favorites. She had 2 different cakes but the red velvet was super delicious :) Martenitsa is everywhere and everyone is wearing red/white bracelets. Read here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martenitsa. It's officially Spring, the weather is getting milder now. ( 2 C in the morning, brrr) They are also selling a lot of spring flowers and plants on the market. This afternoon we helped Mamo to dig the soil in the garden, she is excited to plant veggies and to work outside again. The last photo is mekitsi, they are like pancakes, Mamo made these for us for breakfast. So grateful for her. We all enjoyed them with homemade jam and yogurt :) I think I rested and gained enough weight. lol. I'm just too lazy to open my laptop these days lol Thank you all for reading and dropping by. Wish you a lovely weekend. Kumusta po kayo? #gratefulvibes #pilipinas #photography
