We got up before sunrise and took the first train to Kyustendil. It's a 2-hour ride on the slow train. We watched the sunrise behind the mountains, it was so beautiful. The shallow Struma river, flowing smoothly. It's fascinating to see some houses near the riverside. It must be so peaceful to live in such an area. Our train stopped at many stations, we enjoyed the mountain view and trees were blooming everywhere. It was like in a movie, surreal. Kyustendil is near the borders of Serbia and North Macedonia. It's a different vibe. Mamo studied in this town. Locals are so relaxed. We enjoyed our breakfast and lunch there. We visited Hisarlaka Fortress, then the art gallery of Vladimir Dimitrov maistora (master) It was a nice day out. I will be sharing more photos in the coming days.
